Bowser's airship armada

Hi all! I was thinking and decided to make a name change for my hack and thought it would be good idea to make a new tread with the name. "Bowser's airship armada" also seem a lot more focused on the hack in particular.

Currently im working on the second world as well as editing world 1 if I encounter any cutoff/errors.

So now im gonna showcase the intro, world 1 map and world 2-1 "Underground temple".

As many of you know, I like to edit things in Map16 for myself so I started changing some things in S.C.O.R.P.I.C.U.S temple set which turned out great.

Instead of having to put rock spaces everywhere I made it black so it would seem like the black = cave walls.

Hey, I'm Riot. I used to use this website a lot but it has been quite a while since I've been a part of it. Help me out with any of the changes; it'd be much appreciated.
It was just Bowser's Armada before, I believe.

@One Chance Speedrunner: Hello again, old friend. Say, what did you use for the flamethrowers in your intro? Are they custom blocks or sprites? If they're sprites, are they the ones from Vip 5? And if they are, how did you manage to use them in your hack without freezing the ROM? But I'm willing to bet they're custom blocks anyway.

I wouldn't worry about the status bar, as I've ended up changing its palette just to make things work for my hack. I don't know why some users are fussy over it, lest it does something in-game that I'm not aware of.

This hack looks pretty good! I think the BG palette for the temple stage is a little too bright, though. It would look better if it was slightly darker.

Anyway, I forgot to redirect people from the other tread but since it was so far into the section I thought it wouldn't make much diffrence.
Also, yes, the brightness of the background bricks is indeed a problem.... I was thinking about it when I made it to.
I'll make it a bit darker. :3
And sorry for the confusion around "Bowser's armada" and "Bowser's airship armada". It's just a name change and i'll be sure to post in the old tread.
Fun Fact: I wrote this from a library computer since I started what I like to call "10" Grade and I have no access to my main computer at home. =)
I was just stopping by and I recognized the username and the familiar hack title and thought to have a look. The choice of graphics does seem to be rather appealing, I must say.

I don't blame you for starting a new thread. Having to dig around forum pages for old stuff must be a pain in the ass. This is why I never started my own hack thread, but mostly because my hacking is always on and off.

OMG! (I seriously shouted that when I noticed I forgot to tell you of the flamethrower and I have to make you dissapointed.) Your wrong with both.... IT'S NOT custom and IT'S NOT a sprite. It's acctualy animations downloaded from the Graphics section. Sadly I can't seem to make it "untouchable" when it's gone... so you take damage when it's not even there.

Aside from all this I will upload some pictures later once the level is done.
This hack is looking fairly good so far, I like the graphics you chose and the level design, I hope you can keep up the good work!

In my opinion, I think that little underwater part you have there is kind of useless since the rest of the level seems to base around a castle/fort theme, but that's just what I think.

For the flamethrowers, you have the exanimation, so now all you need is a custom block. I believe the original Block Tool has a custom block that hurts Mario for 8 frames, and then acts like tile 25 (nothing) for 8 frames. Along with the Exanimation you have, you can make the flamethrower hurt Mario when it is visible and then do nothing when it isn't visible.
Hmm. . . not sure what to say so I'll just stop talking. . .

Your flamethrower dilemma can be fixed. Are you familiar with the animated hurt blocks from the original Block Tool? You might wanna use those if you're not using a flamethrower sprite.

Why do I get the felling that there's a curse on level 1-2? Everyone is ignoring this tread whenever I post pictures from the level! Coincidence? I think not.
I'll post a picture of my new world 1 submap to attract people so I can finnaly get a fkin comment on 1-2....

Why do the palmtrees on the OW have tan colored leaves?

I cannot really see anything wrong with 1-2, so I didn't comment.

I think most have the same oppinion as you.
I think the palm tree's colour looks ok but I haven't found a way to change to edit the colour without it effecting the whole OW editor.

I've actually been meaning to post a comment on the levels for awhile now but due to (Stuff) i couldn't come around to it.

But your level 2 looks amazing so far (I'm guessing it's suppose to be raining? Defiantly well designed; I'm not sure if there's actually a bit more sprites then shown but looks good overall.

Something about the bonus stage? I thought someone would comment that the clouds color is a bit to bright to the BG.
The SMB3 Lakitu sounds nifty. Personally, I think the more challenging ones are those that spawn the green spiny eggs that keep on rolling. You remember those, don't you? Cause I do!
