How do you get spritetool to work?

Sometimes there's an error saying "invalid sprite data" when I want to insert a sprite. I used to get it successfully, but how do I do this now?

Some more details would be helpful. What does your sprite list look like, and when does the error pop up?
My YouTube channel
Get the official ASMT resource pack here!

The sprite list has the number and the sprite names after that, and the error pops up when I type both the ROM's name and the list's name.

It would help if you told us exactly what sprites you're trying to insert.
I no longer have interest in SMW Hacking as I did when I first started several years ago.
-_- I used Romi's sprite tool, and I tried to insert some of his sprites today, but it didn't work for some reason.

And which sprites?

under what numbers?
So remember kids! If you ever get caught having tosave a princess from a foreign land after getting dragged down a drain pipe, jumping while spinning in a circle can help you greatly by allowing you to jump on spinning saw blades, ghosts, and allow you to control your jump better!

Oh, never mind. I successfully inserted a 20 - Para-Beetle now. I think it had something to do with the .BIN file.

Yeah... How do I insert the sprites that come with Romi's sprite tool that I don't know which bin they're in? Gimme a list perhaps?

Not always, how do you explain blocks that are .BIN files?

That .bin means binary file, which makes sense for both actual executable data and data supposed to be interpreted as graphics, and not just "graphics file" and SMW ExGFX just so happens to be stored in the same format as the old blocks, the .bin format.

You don't insert .bin files with SpriteTool, you insert .cfg files.

I meant in that scenario with the sprites...

I never said I insert the .bin files. I meant which GFX .bin files the sprites use. Because I can't find them. >:(

Half the sprites on the site don't have graphics if you wish I could make some for you.
Sure, please do it. I don't think Missile Bills really use ExGFX, it just uses the same sprite with flashing palettes.

List of GFX that I couldn't find.
Bowser needs the correct palette.
Crab? (Tilemap $AE $AE $8E $8E 8E)
Kaboomba doesn't shoot the correct tile
Para Beetle (Tilemap $E4 $E6)
What is "piranha_sideways_hdma and venus_hdma and venus_upsidedown_hdma?

Is just like the "original", but the sprite priority is modfied to work in levels what have HDMA.
What is HDMA?

"HDMA" can refer to quite a lot of effects, but most often you'll see it used to make a color gradient in the background.
Just ignore those _hdma versions, they are made to be compatible with a horribly, horribly outdated kit to make hdma, the normal versions will work with modern hdma perfectly.
