What is your favorite/least favorite Super Mario 64 Course?

Have you ever played Super Mario 64? Do you like or dislike courses? Want to tell what you like and dislike on SMW Central? This is the thread for you. This thread is to talk about our most and least favorite course(s). You also have to tell why you like(love) or dislike (hate) the course. So, go ahead, tell me.

My favorite course is shifting sand land because of the sandy tornados spin you up.

My least favorite course is lethal lava land because it's SO FREAKING HARD! Too much lava!

NOTE: If there is already a thread about this, then sorry.

Bomb-omb battle field because its an awesome course and i like the bomb-ombs

Tall tall mountain cause its a pain in the butt way too often#w{:<}

Later.
You dislike Lethal Lava land, for too much lava.
Thats like saying you dislike Shifting Sand Land for all the sand...

Anywho my favourite course is Cold Cold Mountain, because of the slides and race against the penguin. Also Peach's castle is awesome to explore.

My least favourite is Jolly Rodger Bay, despite the awesome music the level does not have much in...
My mom LOVES SM64, and the great penguin race in cool, Cool mountain. Also, i like tiny-huge island, too because you can be a giant for a long time! Also, you are tiny and small as an ant.

My favorite and least favorite has always been Tick Tock Clock, because it's really fun to play, but it's also really hard and frustrating at the later parts, because if you fall down, you have to play the level all over again. It's also quite boring color-wise, but that's no major point.

I hate the Castle Courtyard because it's empty and boring.

I love Lethal Lava Land because you can go in the volcano.

What? That's not a course...

Anyways, I haven't played the game (well the DS version anyways) in so long I can't really remember what I liked and disliked, even though I vaguely remember basement courses giving me hell. :/
Good fucking bye.
Nice comments guys. Also, my dad HATES rainbow ride, because it gives him a headache. Lolwut?

To be very honest; I pretty much hated all the courses. I loved the game back then but now I just can't stand it #w{>=(}

But favorites and least favorites you ask? Well I have to say out of all of them "Hazy Maze Cave" was probably my favorite; the only thing that annoyed me about it was collection the Red Coins.

I absolutely hated Shifting Sand Land though...quick sand everywhere, boring and annoying; and a song the makes you want to fall asleep takes the cake.

Same here. It used to be fun back then but it's pretty boring now, I guess it's because I've finished the game so many times. Last time I played I didn't have any fun with any of the courses at all.

Least would probably be Dire Dire Docks, since well... it's a water level and I hate those in general. It was also irritating getting the 7th star since there weren't that many coins in the level (or they were hard to find), I had trouble with the Manta Ray star and getting the red coins in that level wasn't fun either.

I can't think of a favourite since there were many good courses though. I liked Cool Cool Mountain, Hazy Maze Cave, Lethal Lava Land and some others ones. I guess Lethal Lava Land would stand out the most since the stars are quite challenging to get and I was pretty amazed when I realized there was a volcano in the stage. Climbing up that was cool.
Hrm... I'm not great when it comes to opinions, but I'll try anyway.

Well, as for least favourite, I'd probably go with Tiny Huge Island, because when I was little and played the game for the first time the giant enemies scared the crap out of me, and since I've not played the game for many years, I've never gone back and tried it again.

Favourite? Hmm... Not a course exactly, but I liked how many secrets were in the game and the castle, I always felt smart when I found hidden secrets that deviated from the main path (or to a lesser extent: getting a star in a mission that you're not meant to be getting quite yet). I just always liked the feeling of finding something unexpected (something I've kinda missed in Galaxy 1+2, since it always tells you when there's one to be found, I believe), and I always remembered the secret slide the most.

Not blue.
Sorry for you evilguy and iceguy, you guys didn't like SM64 when you played again i see. It's too bad...

NEBDLS (Anybody else?)?

My favorite SM64 course was probably Whomp's Fortress. I found it easy to get all the stars and it gets a nostalgic bonus for being in SMG2. I also liked the fact that it was straightforward, as I prefer liner design over non-linear, although if I said that I didn't like non-linear at all, I wouldn't have played SM64.

Least favorite... Hazy Maze Cave. Notice what I said about linear design? Maze? Yeah, you get it. It's not that I don't like the stars, it's just the limit you are given to go through the hazy part of the maze and how hard and misleading it was. 100 coins was especially annoying. Cool music though.
My least favorite course would be dire dire docks, not because it was a water level (I don't dislike those unlike most of people) but because it was too small, slow, boring, and repetitive especially for the red coins star.

My favorite course was the haunted house one (I don't remember the name but I think it was course 5), I liked it because it was tricky and there were a lot of things to explore in there, besides, I always liked ghost-themed levels.
My favorite course would be the one where you have to go in that secret slide in tall-tall mountain. And most things in Whomp Fortress.

I really hate the one where you have to beat the penguin in a race. The hazy cave level was annoying.

Really? Same here. Let's not forget about the giant fish #w{x(}

No seriously..I hated going to the level just cause of it.

One of my favourite Super Mario 64 levels is definitely Hazy Maze Cave. Don't know why, but I loved going into the lake and take Dorrie to get to the Metal Cap area.
I also like Wet Dry World, and the interesting gimmick that allowed the player to visit the Downtown area.
The music is awesome, I love how it becomes "mysterious" as you get into the lake or Downtown #w{<3}

Not much to say about water levels. I pretty much like them, also thanks to the amazing music.

Anyway, I guess the least favourite is Shifty Sand Land, probably because of all that quicksand (the pyramid zone is pretty cool, though).
I like your comments, guys. Also, AJ6666, that course was called "Big Boo's Haunt". I wonder if anyone likes rainbow ride...
