Most difficult thing you've done in a video game

That God... damned... Goron challenge in Majora's Mask. Seriously, still haven't taken the hours out of my day that someone as incompitent as me to do it.
Hm let me think:
Defeating Sub-space emissary on Intense. (This is was just god awful after the mid-way point.)
Getting 100% on any Metroid game.
Finishing KSSU 100%(Kirby Super Star Ultra)
On that note I kinda put and completed a couple self made challenges since I ran out of things to do...
Finishing the arena under 7 minutes ( done in 6:35:15)
Finishing the True Arena under 5 minutes ( done in 4:40:35)
And finishing Metaknightmare ultra under 40 minutes ( done in 33:06:31)

Completing Jet Force Gemini. Damn, that game got pretty damn hard by the end. And when you beat the "final" level, sudden plot twist and the game basically triples its length. The third boss, which one would have believed to be the penultimate boss, is pretty damn intense. Twin robot mantis things that shoot freaking missiles at you and take like six of your missiles each to break their rocket-firing arms. And then you have to kill them.

After that, you finally complete what would have been the final level, and then beat the final boss in thirty seconds. But wait! He survives and he escapes, and to catch him you need a super-fast spaceship that your friend seems to conveniently have. Then he tells you parts of it are missing. Then he also tells you he's not going to let you fly the thing until you rescue all of his people. All of them, from everywhere, even planets you haven't yet discovered. Essentially, the game is forcing you to explore everything and backtrack to find things you might have missed, and also reach previously inaccessible areas. And to obtain some key items you have to do things that are seemingly only extra minigames (oh god those Floyd missions, and they required you to get the gold medal in one of them).

Then after essentially 100%ing the game, you reach the final level. And then the final boss, for real this time. And this time he's fifty times harder. First he launches a volley of meteorites at you. Yeah, that's the first thing he does. Then he shoots freaking eye lasers and hand lightning at you, and they do ridiculous amounts of damage. After he attacks you about three times, there's a tiny window of opportunity for you to shoot a small area on his back while he's constantly moving. Hit him, then he repeats his pattern, except each time the length of time when he turns around gets shorter and shorter.

Still a great game though. Oh yeah, also that mission in Club House Games in Bowling where you have to hit a single pin five times in a row. And I still haven't managed to get a Backgammon Win ever.
May we meet again outside the battlefield.
I forgot one thing about me to tell - I beat Axelay on Very Hard (Hard must be beaten in order to play the last difficulty) as a 12 years old. Damn, I remember this heartbeat and relief on last stage at once!
Three words: The Perfect Run.
By far the hardest star to get on Super Mario Galaxy 2. It probably took me over 50 tries to beat it even once. I was extremely overwhelmed when I finally met Rosalina at the end of the level. (Not overwhelmed that I saw Rosalina, overwhelmed that I finally beat that level.)
60% of the time, works every time.

This reminds me I never finsihed Super Mario Galaxy 2 because of that.
I should.

I agree, but it makes things MUCH easier with a second player. Mainly on the area with the red/blue swap panels. The Luma can stun the things that shoot the circular lasers.
Doing it one-player, on the other hand, is much harder. I would agree on how hard it is. I might go as far as to say it's the hardest Mario level ever made by Nintendo. In fact, yes, I would.
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Beat World 9-7 with 2 players.I've died nearly 50 times just to pass the level

Super Mario World
Tubular without savestate. No comments.
Including romhacks, the hardest things I've done are 100% completions of TSRPR and Rise to the Challenge without savestates (on my PSP of course).

Not counting romhacks, I'd say that level one on Starfox was hard for me. (Yes, level one. The easy path.) I'd also mention beating Castlevania 1 on the NES.

You hear dice being thrown...
My SMW ROMhack: Super Market Roll Drums is active once again!
Second 2014 C3 Demo Here ([thread] [demo])
Lunatic Lolo, an Adventures of Lolo 2 hack: 20/54 Levels ([C3 thread] [demo])

First thing that comes to mind is killing that thing with a bunch of planes.
(Is that small enough to post, or is my monitor just really wide?)
Today just beated Touhou 6 in extra difficulty (and capturing "Q.E.D. Ripples of 495 years" on my first try). I almost failed, I had my last life and no bombs when I reached the last spell card. Almost had a heart attack.

I'm happy, this is my first extra stage completed.

Vanilla contest entry - Download!

Whoa! I have a Tumblr!

Layout made by me.
Thanks to Leod and algorithmshark for helping.
I felt really, really relieved when I beat Super Monkey Ball 2 on Master Mode + Master Extra. That was brutal.
Mario's Vanilla Journey

Progress: 22/72 levels complete
I already made some ludicrous things playing video games when I was a gamer... two of them was:

  • I got more than 11,000,000 points in one combo at Alcatraz in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for PSX (heh, THPS was one of the first games I ever played, and the Tony Hawk's series are still my favourite games).

  • Got 3 filled bars at the Slipknot song at insane difficult in Amplitude (I lost some days of my life trying to do it, and don't even got the 4 bars :/).

  • Well, it isn't a difficult thing, but I alredy got ~110 hours playing Final Fantasy XII in just one month. I got so bored of this game after this that I don't even tryed to find Yazmat (mostly because it would take me more five or six hours to beat).

Those Damn Yoku blocks of Mega Man! without Rush/Item 2/Magnet Beam, It's nearly impossible!
This layout has been Killed. Thank you for using Windows Fail Edition!
Oh! Not sure if this means much since it was a self-imposed challenge, but a few days back I finally finished my Zelda: Majora's Mask "3 Days + Collect All Masks" run. Basically, I had a single three day cycle (after the mandatory Deku one) to collect all 23 masks and still beat the game.

This is technically impossible, since getting the Blast Mask makes getting three other masks impossible, and is a requirement for getting another mask. To alleviate this I used cheats to start the game off with the Blast Mask and All-Night Mask, and in my run I went through the motions necessary to get them. So like, for the All-Night Mask, I had to beat the Oceanside Spider House on Day 1 to get the Giant's Wallet, go to the Curiosity Shop on Night 3 with 500 rupees, and talk to the shop owner as if I were actually buying the mask, even though it wasn't available.

The run was actually pretty intense! I managed to get to the boss door in Stone Tower Temple just after the final night started, but I didn't have enough time to start the boss because at about 6:45pm I had to go to Sakon's Hideout for the Kafei/Anju sidequest. Doing that sidequest makes the timer auto-progress to the final 6 hours of the game, so by the time I got to the Stone Tower boss, I only had about 8 minutes to beat it. Seems like a lot but I'm absolutely terrible at that boss with the level 1 sword. Had to depend on well timed fire/ice arrow shots. Managed to beat it in six minutes.

    Yep.

That is the final boss of Gotcha Force.
What makes killing it with planes (well, they're called Air Borgs, as they are borgs that are in the air, and I did also use a small UFO that is also an Air Borg for the same reason, but you get the idea) difficult, you ask? Well, that's a question better answered by a video. Unfortunately, I do not have a video at the moment. I'll have to look on YouTube, and if there isn't one there I may have to beat it again with some planes (Air Borgs) to get a video. Just as soon as I can get a decent quality video...
Definitely getting Mii Outfit B in Mario Kart Wii. However, Yoshi falls wasn't a problem. I actually beat the expert staff ghost!

The final boss of Mario and Luigi: Partners in time was sure one heck-based time.
Lemmings 3D - Beating Level 70 "The Hanger." This level was an absolute bitch to complete. Not only is there an UNAVOIDABLE trap on the way to the exit but you have to get a minimum of 63 out of the 80 lemmings over there. The only possible way was to bunch up the lemmings close together so that JUST enough could get over this trap. I had 65 at the end. And that wasn't even the last level.
