imakeromhacksofsmw: it's not allowed to rip any graphics for your level. Everything must be hand drawn and original. Please get yourself known with the project before you start commenting.
Violators will be prosecutedt to the full extent of the jam.

Wouldn't it be awesome if it could have graphics just drawn by hand instead of ripping graphics from another game?

Have you been paying ANY attention to this hack's discussion?

Not really I guess. Sorry

A bit late to say, but concerning the world splits, will they be voluntary, or will the player "unlock" the other world like in NSMB where simple prerequisites had to be filled to access the extra worlds? I only bring this up simply because of difficulty: if it's just a fork in the road, then world 2 and 3 (as well as 5/6) should have equal difficulty (which I'm not sure if everyone designing a world 3 or 6 realizes yet). However if these splits are based on a small secret (where the extra world would be a reward of sorts), then it'd be acceptable to have higher difficulty in worlds 3 and 6.
I've realized this was outdated.
I set it up (and castles 1 and 4) to have "split paths" meaning that worlds 2 and 3 should be of about equal difficulty. You can do one or the other.

(granted, if you're a completionist, you'll want to do all of them.)
I'm sure this has been asked many a times before....but do you feel this ROM Hack will be 'The Empire Strikes Back' (One of my favourite movies, and changed me forever.) or Army Of Darkness (Awesome, Fun, but didn't change everything for me.) and yes, this question is strange but heh, those are the best kind.
I'm thinking more Krippendorf's Tribe.

EDIT: By which I mean S.N.N. spent all of the grant money he was awarded for this project taking care of his children*, resulting in our being compelled to traipse around his backyard dressed up like outrageous ethnic stereotypes so that we might successfully defraud our backing institution and live happily ever after.

Alright. I've marked your name down for it, so you're welcome to go ahead and post updates and the like in there.

008 has also opened, if anyone wants to make the Yellow Switch Palace.

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

Speaking of Switch Palaces, I really should get around to sending in that re-ripped Switch Palace GFX. Hopefully I actually saved the palette file this time around.

I got the Yellow Switch Palace level!

...unless S.N.N. says otherwise.
Check out my music!
Nope. It's yours if you want it.

..and I see you posted in the thread, so that confirms it.
Recently I talked with MajorasMask9 on IRC, and he informed me that Malcolmbellman39 is indeed working on his level, but he has yet to see what progress has been made on it.
He has been supplying Graphics to Malcolm, so he probably has stuff for the other Sky level designers to make. Maybe, depending on what graphics he's been making.
woag.....

(previously superdragonyoshi1. sup yall.)
I have a question for anyone working on levels for SMWCP, especially those working on Oriental-world levels.

Would any of you find any use for these sprites in your levels? I made them for C3, but I didn't finish in time. (it took me maybe...48 hours to finish them? Maybe more...) I'd love to see them used in SMWCP2, but there's two slight problems...

1: Would they even be useful?
2: The second is a Touhou reference... (The first isn't, although the graphics for the homing sprite ARE.)

So yeah.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but not because of the reasons you mentioned. I think they are a bit overpowered, especialy the second one, and the player could make it through the level easly with those, maybe we could use them in small rooms though.

Well yeah, anything that has the power to kill enemies is inherently overpowered, because unless you actually code in new enemies, it's either instakill or no kill at all. :/ And yes, the point is to make rooms easier. What's wrong with that?

Looking throught the level list, all of these levels are open.

00A: 2-1 (Swamp)
013: 3-2 (Eastern Shrine)
103: 4-Secret 3 (Oasis)
12F: 8-4 (Factory)

All one exit.

Who said they had to be in the oriental world? I'm sure you could come up with a way one of them could fit in another context (number 2 could be a bullet bill shooter or something?) Also... I wish school wasn't occupying so much time...

Well, then how about we use it as a bonus game? Perhaps a "kill this many enemies in 10 seconds to win a prize" sort of thing (obviously moving enemies, such as jumping green parakoopas, would be ideal, as opposed to simple enemies such as goombas).
I should get a new layout.

Probably won't, though.

And obviously the homing projectile wouldn't work with this at all, because, well, it homes
