Could someone do an Airship GFX to go over the sunken ship GFX?

There is an airship foreground in the ExGFX section ripped from SMB3 and works with the original SMW palette.
Yeah, I have that already. I was referring to the overworld sunken ship, because I think Airships would be preferable by many, myself included.
If it's just four 8x8 tiles, couldn't you rip it yourself? The animations might be a little tricky, but other than that...
It's me!!

I'd like to request foregrounds and bsckground from the SNES game On the Ball. anything will do, i think they'll be great for castle levels.
I made a standalone game once, look for Seabug Stampede on Google Play.
I would like to request alternate graphics for Mario so that he looks like Sonic The Hedgehog.

Someone is already doing that, and also, are you aware how freaking hard that would be? Never ask for custom GFX until you have made some halfway-decent ones yourself.
Following that logic, no one should ask for music, sprites, or blocks before they have made them themselves. Isn't that the whole purpose of the request thread?

I mean, if he wanted to hack Sonic's physics into SMW, then that is a different story ..
I meant BIG requests, like what he wanted.

Well I would, but I don't know how to rip graphics. That's why I asked here.

Well, in the case of this, you'd need a SMAS Rom and a program called Tile Layer Pro. SMAS's graphics are all un-compressed, so you just have to open SMAS in TLP, surf through all the graphics tiles until you've found the airship, open the .BIN file with the SMW Overworld graphics, then just copy-paste the SMAS tiles to the .BIN file.

So yeah, it takes some setting up, but it's not that hard since it's SMAS we're talking about.

I can't find a SMAS rom... embarrasing. Could someone else please do it?
Where can i get yy-chr? Would be nice to make own exgfx's :)
(to Mr.L) First, wrong section. Second, if I can do it, so can you. Seriously.

(to blizzC) YY-CHR sucks. Use Tile Layer Pro, it's WAY better. Look in Zophar's Domain for that.

They are both here, in the tools section.

And TLP isn't near as good as YY-CHR.
Hehe ok thanx. :)

EDIT:wich of them should i download? what one is the most simple to use? :P
Those two are like snes9x and zsnes.

A lot of people like both, and neither one has a definite advantage over the other.

Just try both and see which one you like.

Except that snes9x has really bad sound and is harder to use.Probably since I have an outdated version

There's a better, more efficient way to do it. Say that you want to rip airship graphics. Play up to an airship level in SMAS and make a savestate. The emulator stores the graphics in the savestate, so the graphics you need will be in the savestate.

Open the savestate in any graphic editor, and jump to offset 0x13 (which is hexadecimal), and then scroll to find the graphics you want to rip. Then, just copy them into a SMW graphics file.
Your layout has been removed.
