Looks pretty cool to me. Just one thing about the overall level: The BG really looks bad with the FG. I don't like the 2d and 3d effect put in one level.
I'm using this BG because I didn't find any better one...

Pretty nice slopes. Original from the rest of the graphics. I do think that the grass part is a bit to big, but eh, opinions are opinions, right?

I'm loving the liveliness of those screens, MagiLuigi. Are those koopas in the ground animated to eat? if so, that's a excellent touch. I hope those flames are exanimated as well.
I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...

TLMB: The strawberries are animated (they "rotate"), and the candle flames and the Koopa Troopas in the ground too.

Well, I was bored at the classroom so I invented this character:

His name is Mr. Gourmet, and I'll explain what's his importance later, by the way, those things over his head are just letters... I drew him on my Geography book, hee... hee...

Woh those are some trippy graphics you got there... lol but anyways it looks pretty good! And of you need a play tester I'd be glad to, since I'm getting kind of bored designing my hack. But anyways just PM me if you need a tester. Great looking hack!

Anyway I'm looking forward to this level when I play this game :)

Oh no! That Koopa Troopa just ate so much cake floor(?) that now he's enormous! ENORMOUS! Oh, wait, who cares for another Koopa Troopa? Anyway, YAY, for the giant kiwi, the candy decorating the insides of the "cake", and the obese (animated) koopa! YAY!

There's something in that screenshot that looks rather off to me... although I can't say for sure what it is. I don't know, I'm just not all that crazy about it; It looks great, yes, but something in it just... kind of turns me down in a way or another. I'm guessing it is probably the excessive amount of brightness in the stars and whatnot. Try making them look more opaque - I'm sure they will become easier to the eyes that way.

Other than that, nice. Does the overweight Koopa Troopa actually play a hole in the level, or is it just some sort of generic NPC?

Regardless, this looks like a fun hack. I'm afraid I haven't played your demo, but I should actually consider taking it sometime in the future.

Well updates:


Brigadeiros (brigadiers), cotton candies, and big strawberries were added.

@Broozer: Yeah, the Koopa is just a generic NPC, I don't know anything about ASM (I just made 1 custom sprite for the hack, and I used the n00b boss sprite, heh). I think I can't make the stars more opaque, because... there are other tiles that use the same colors they do.


Oh, and I didn't post anything here because lately I was waiting for feedback... and other things like lazyness, sleep too much, and more. Well... give feedback this time!

Hey! I had an idea and implemented it on the level:

As you can see, here's another cameo, it's Upa, from Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa and also the SFC version of Gokujō Parodius! and all versions of Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius, on the second level of Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa he goes through the level eating a giant cake... and so he did here (at least with a little part of this level).

Opinons?

How are you supposed to get out of that hole if you fall in?
