Yeah. Those graphics are from the castle destruction scene. So it should be legal.

Well, the contest itself is the reward, isn't it? If enough people make submissions and put a lot of effort into their levels, then people will learn a lot about level design just by example. Which is why you should actually participate, Schwa.
I dunno... Seriously, I get to be a jerk sometimes when actual competition is involved... Trying to make a whole Rom Hack better than another whole Rom Hack is different. It's SORT of like competition, but you're not trying to "beat" the other hackers, you're just trying to make your own hack as good as it can possibly be.
This isn't the same, though... I realize the contest is meant to be all in good fun, but I've struggled with something all my life, and that is that I can't function in competitive atmosphere. I get to be a real dick, real cocky, when I win I throw it in everyone's face, and when I lose I get violent. This is the case even when there's nothing at stake. And to be honest, I love you guys at SMWC too much to risk that happening. So I'd much rather do something like help run the event, such as judging (not this time 'cause they have their judges), providing a reward, or something else. Either that or not have anything to do with the event, which will give me more time to work on my own hack, something I'm just as content with.
I'd like to hear SNN's take on what I just said, since I respect his opinion a lot and I think he'll have something very wise to say that wouldn't occur to me otherwise.
This isn't a promise, but... One of these days, once SMTI is finished, if people like it enough and I go down as one of the best SMW hackers (and that's quite an if, but people have told me it's plausible), I would consider hosting a level designing event of my own here at these forums, that is, if SNN is fine with it. That's a ways off, though.
It's me!!
