I haven't tried it, but what makes it so hard? Just find out what about a block "stops" Mario, and only make the block do that if Mario's Y/X positions are divisible by 8, right?

Theoretically, but I never have figured out where the code that stops Mario is, I guess I can go look for it.

You do not need a BG to start designing your level.

Hell, I've made a good amount of progress on mine and I don't have neither a BG nor the FG set I'm still waiting for!

Not sure if anyone noticed but I'm open for possible FG requests :3

I'm also throwing out these sets in case somebody possible needs one of them:
Ghost House Redrawn: A product of love and rage, requires 2 Map 16 tile edits for the platforms
Ghost House Reshaded: I'm including this one because it's easier to work with for those vanilla hacker, requires no Map16 edits
Snowy Set: Largely inspired by Yoshi Island graphics, the sets was custom drawn with the intent of snow joking around...
Ice Cave: Not really sure what to say about this one, The main ground is simplistic and non-slippery, but where the ground shines a reflection is where one needs to take precaution. I wouldn't mind if only the icy ground is asked for as I put the 2 in different ExGFX files.
Misc. Generic Grassland: I made this for my own project, but since I don't quite like the SMWCP2 set I'm throwing this out for use. The main ground uses default Map16 + allows the scaling mushroom sprite to be used. I don't mind if this set is torn apart for only the grassland either.
Regular Rocky Cave: Uses default map16 and requires a dirt make over as well as removing a few of those thick black outlines. Again was originally made for myself but since there wasn't a global redrawn cave set, I thought it'd be nice to put this up for show.

Of course, I'm willing to tailor these sets if needed (such as cleaning up the set or adding slopes).
I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
well, i think that i cant make the flamethrower, i'm not good at drawing metal...

I already have done a BG, just need a FG, and someone to make the Map 16s.

Could somebody draw a Ninja Chuck (+Shuriken for Pitchin' Chuck) for my Oriental Castle (it could be used in the oriental levels globally too)? I'd imagine some darker traditional Ninja clothes and such. Shouldn't be so hard to do for a bit more experienced drawer (not like me). Thanks a lot in advance!

I still need a tileset for Coral Keep.
TheGamer graciously made graphics for Smallhacker's cat minion, so now I can finally request the ASM for it. The graphics are here, and here is the palette. What I want the sprite to do is hop around, like this .gif that TheGamer made, (he should only crouch down when he lands and before jumping, though) using the frames provided to hop towards Mario's direction. He should pause a little bit in between hops when he lands, and make sure to give him wall detection or whatever so he doesn't fly through walls. Now, when you stomp on this guy, he should collapse using the three breaking frames, just like how the drybones do it, but not in the air.

Thanks a lot for anyone who did this, I really appreciate it and so does TheGamer because he made the graphics.

That seems to work and not work at the same time. It moreorless behaves properly when Mario is riding Yoshi before touching the block, but if he's not on him and he encounters the blocks, they seem to interact with his X position based on how the screen itself is, which can lend a hand in spawning multiple sprites at once.

I think I fixed it (I didn't encounter any more bugs), test this out and let me know if it's still buggy.

Just for the record, for anyone requesting an enemy, your best chance of getting it taken on as a request is by doing just this: providing graphics and giving a detailed description of what it should do. Of course, it also depends on how much free time spriters have as well, so...
