I would like to claim this boss, seeing that I've already coded a pretty good amount so far (I could always just use this for my own hack, if not, so I started anyways.)
Anyways, I was thinking of something like this:
The music stops. Mario walks into the room as the 32x32 boss drops down and creates an earthquake, as well as (maybe) a roar.
The battle begins with the room being changed to ice or fire Ex-Animated tiles at random. If the room is fire, some tiles are changed to hurt the player, and if the room is icy, the slippery flag is turned on.
The boss uses a wand to cast Magikoopa spells to be thrown at the player, and after a while of doing so, either changes the room's elemental state or stomps on the ground. If the boss stomps on the ground, a blue and red koopa fall. If the room is in a fire elemental state, the player is supposed to hit the boss with the blue Koopa shell, vice versa.
When the boss is hit the last time, it falls to the bottom off screen, and Sonikku's fade out end level flag runs. (unless you guys want to modify how it'll play out?)
So yeah, I'd like to claim it, hopefully considering that someone will make tiles in animation for:
Again, this is a 32x32 sprite.
- 2 stationary frames.
- 2 stationary angry frames, knees bent as if it were about to jump. (Actually, it IS jumping, so keep that in mind.)
- 2 about-to-fall-off-a-cliff frames.
- 2 frames of the boss frantically shaking its hands while falling upside-down. (this is his exit off of the screen when it dies)
- 2 16x16 frames of a glowing orb (this is the spell being cast, make sure it looks fine for - 1 16x16 frame of that glowing orb shattering into pieces. (Make sure it looks like it could break off into any direction, up/down/left/right)
both red and blue palettes.)
- 1 16x16 wand
If I'm correct, that should just barely fit an entire ExGFX page. I am most likely using this on page SP3.
Heh. That's quite a lot I'm asking for, but if anyone does it, I'd be very grateful, and the sprite would look very fluent.
