An SMW Central Production: Final Release v1.5

Dont know if this has been mentioned or not but I encountered a glitch in the Fortress of world 6. After I hit Boom Boom a second time after he dive bombed me,he just went off screen to the left. Is he suppose to do that?
Just so people know, I updated the ips again to fix a problem with more.bin. Same link, but I figured I'd link it again anyways to avoid confusion.
...

Erm, I don't know if this happens to everybody, but some level tiles on the overworld are broken in the bsnes-compatible ASMWCP...
Good fucking bye.
Define "broken". As in, don't load?

e: oh jesus christ, I just looked at it. I've put up the non-BSNES version for now. You should have checked that before you put up that IPS, HuFlungDu. The overworld is pretty much completely busted in any spot where exit tiles exist.

Also the hi-hat instrument (@22) doesn't seem to exist anymore.
Yeah some level tiles aren't there and Mario will either just walk over it and into a place where you enter a bonus game or just stop on an unenterable level tile. It's impossible to beat the game because the first desert level is one of those, if I remember correctly.
Good fucking bye.
I don't know if this has already been brought up, but in Sinister Dungeon, I grabbed a fire flower that was falling from the item box at the same time that the controls switched, and it froze the game.

Also, this has probably been brought up, but that mechanic's implementation is an incarnation of retardation and frustration. But I digress.

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

I've mentioned it a few times before. Of course, I'm also part of the group that thinks that the reversed control gimmick should not have been added to begin with.

Ditto. I'm trying to figure out why it was added in the first place. It wouldn't have been hard to tweak that level in some other fashion to make it more suitable as the world 3 castle. It boggles the mind.
I suppose it was added as an obligatory gimmick so the level has something else to offer besides simple platforming. But it sure has backfired. Some levels are better off without any gimmicks.

I did test it, I was getting those bugs before, so I just thought it was normal. I'll check it out. Probably some bad music insertion.
Turns out the problem was that Romi forgot that "TableAddress" pointed to the END of the table, not the beginning. Not a problem with the old tool, but with more songs, it begins to eat other data, which is bad.

Final update (Again, same link, but linked again).
So hey Roy, if you read this, you removed the $700428,x store within the final boss when you sent it to me last month. As in, the credits flag.

Welp. This certainly clears things up.
Which $700428,x store.
I never recall removing any line containing $700428,x.
If I don't know what something is, I don't remove it.

Eh, whatever.
--------> Don't follow "Find Roy's Dignity", my hack. Because it's pretty outdated. <--------
Another likely option is that when you fixed the fight, you used a version you had rather than the one I PM'ed you (which would have lacked the check).

Eh, yeah. It's dealt with now at least.
So I have finished most of the hack and gotten all goals up to beating Bowser, the void, Toadsworth and whatnot. Except when I go back to Peach she still tells me to go get the eggs. Is this some bug or do I have to go do something else to make the cake?
Actually, that is the bug Roy and I were just discussing in the posts directly above yours. It was sorted out in the version I reuploaded, so if you redownload the IPS and simply beat Toadsworth again, you should be able to access Peach + the spacesuit.
Don't know if I'm bringing up something redundant again, but...

In Zephyr Manor, when you enter an area, the wind doesn't always blow in the same direction. Sometimes I'm able to skip small sections, and other times I'm nearly stuck until I get a boo to come all the way over so I can spin-jump on it.

Oh, and capes apparently allow you to float infinitely, although without vertical camera scroll...

And yay, I died right before the goal sphere, because I couldn't find a safe way to dismount the platform.

...Ah, so your direction on the platform controls the wind...good thing I read that nonexistent message box telling me all about it. Not to mention you can glitch though ceilings and such with this platform.

*Sigh* I'll just save this for the Thoughts thread.

Edit: Yeah, I probably should have been paying more attention to how the wind changed direction as I moved on the platform. I think I just assumed I had no control over the wind's direction thanks to the first message box in the level, so I didn't even entertain the idea. That, and I was probably just over-eager to clear the stage.

And come to think of it, there's so much irritating boo-dodging in that level that I think it's easy to lose track of the wind and focus on other things, especially if you expect that you can't control it. I guess it was just me, though.

I think Riolu actually designed this level with that intention in mind, simply because the old secret exit required a cape to get to it. However, because the "scroll camera with Mario" feature wasn't implemented, the cape gimmick didn't really work.

Uh, it seems pretty obvious that you'd simply go back down the shaft a little and jump off of it.

Typically, I'd agree with you, but if you couldn't clearly see the wind changing with each movement on the cloud, then I really don't know what to tell you. It was almost -too- obvious for a message box.

This level as a whole is still inexcusable though.
