I just heard SNN's Oriental Map theme, and I did hear samples in them. But I'm guessing it's only going to be in that map.
I no longer have interest in SMW Hacking as I did when I first started several years ago.
That song is for a personal project though, and will not be used in this hack. I might either compose another oriental map theme (unsampled) for this, or leave it to someone else.
I put up a newer base ROM containing a couple of new patches (i.e. fixall.asm), as well as some altered palettes. If you are making global graphics for this hack, please do your testing in level 1. I've set some preliminary palettes there, but they can be altered if necessary. After all, several of them are empty.

Atma Edit: This also includes some sprite remapping, refer to GFX00 to see what has been changed.

You can if you wish. I'd rather everything goes through the "Global Graphics" sticky first for approval though.
I put up a newer base ROM with all of the graphics I've received so far inserted. Feel free to check them out.

I've also included a "credits" list (so far) and a "patches applied" list. Any future GFX should be drawn off of this base.
Did a quick base update again, this time with all of the graphics I've gotten in the past 6 hours or so (read: a lot). A lot of tileset specific sprites still need some work, so feel free to take a look and help out.
When we do get level signups, can I work on a world 1 level?

If you manage to get the claim on a level. I'll be announcing when signups will begin soon, and at that point, it is first come first serve. If you don't get one, try again next time.
SNN,I think that the palettes could be "rearranged" to make them work well with the flashing color.

That's a nifty idea with the palette Dakress. I could try doing a world 1 level, if the signups begin in my vacation.

What patch (if any) was used to completely omit the score tallying at the end of the level? That's something I've been meaning to look into for a while now.

As far as I know it's a hex edit, x2CE85.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
The first and second shell frames still need to be switched. It animates wrong.

And the porcu-puffer frames were "pasted" in the wrong spots.

Also,SNN,do you think that is a good idea to do this?
