Game idea thread

A new F-Zero for the Wii would be good, it is long overdue for a sequel to the canon series, the last game (F-Zero Climax) was released in 2004 but only in Japan.

What I would I like to see in the sequel to GX.

1. New physics engine.
2. Venues from the older F-Zero games (White Land, Death Wind, Devils Forest, etc...)
3. A more in-depth story mode letting in some backstory on the F-Zero characters, since not much is known about it.
4. All the AX characters + Deathborn, this has been said a million times but they should be in F-Zero Wii anyway for most of them ('cept Lily Flyer and Digi-Boy) are awesome.
5. 4 new characters, just to balance the lineup a bit and leave it at that.
6. Track editor, it is about time we got one in an F-Zero game, since the F-Zero X EXpansion kit and F-Zero Climax were only released in Japan and they had track editors. It should use the CTRL point system like in FZX and FZGX with a wide variety of possibilities.
7. A custom car editor, this would be cool, but would need to be more balanced, sort of and with the ability to name the custom machines.
8. Decent voice actors, some of the characters in GX had suitable voices (Captain Falcon and Samurai Goroh) but the others were just weird/horrible or just didn't fit them (Pico & Zoda).

That's all I can think of for now, but now all I can say is "HURRY UP NINTENDO!!".

I agree with a lot of things you said. I would love a more in-depth story mode that focused on the other less recognized characters as well as Falcon. Personally, Captain Falcon isn't very high on my "favorite racers" list, and there are a lot of other racers that have decent enough backstories already that they could easily be expanded upon, like Mighty Gazelle <3.

Though I wouldn't want Deathborn to return. He always seemed so unfitting to me. Personal bias I guess! I guess I also see him as being GX exclusive due to his role in the story. I dunno, I never really liked him :(.

Not sure how I'd feel if the AX characters returned. I guess it would be kind of alright since they weren't too bad, but I feel like the roster is getting too huge after the jump from F-Zero -> F-Zero X. F-Zero X had just enough, and GX was fine too, but unless they make room for some new characters by getting rid of older ones, the roster would just be too crowded. I'd hate to see them get rid of the core 30, so the AX players would be a logical start. Even though some AX characters are awesome, I could see their slots being for "New characters that are unique to one game".

Additionally, if they made a Wii version of F-Zero, I would also like a 3DS version that acted as the F-Zero AX of the Wii one. While I wouldn't want it to be the exact same game, being able to transfer data between the two games such as Tracks, Players, and possibly other unlockables would be neat.
I need some ideas for an indie game. :O

I see you looking at my sig. You're just jealous.
Watch my LPs and whatever else I do!
Currently LPing: Megaman Zero ; The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
I would make a game about a fat old horse named Younk, and the objecteve is to destroy things in many ways; while he goes through different games.

Could you imagine a fat old horse squashing Pit? :P

A game where you have to blow up as much as possible.

Also, SEGA needs to make Ristar 2.

2.5D and new levels.
Age of Empires where you start in the Stone Age and work your way up to the Modern Age - Space Age.

The reason I'm saying this is because I'm annoyed by the fact that Age 3 only had colonial ages, Age 1 went through Stone Ages (which is fine, it's an old game) and Age 2 went through the middle ages.

All the Civilisations and Times would be amazing.

Yeah! I was thinking about it like some days ago by playing Age 3. One Age of Empires that cover all the ages will be awesome. And, like all the Age of Empires series, you can select the age that you want to start. #w{:>}

Nintendo should concider making a new Yoshi's Island game for the Wii with new levels, updated features and sound effects.

I was thinking that too.
Nintendo should remake SM64 for the Wii.
And use this for the boxart:

I didn't make this.
Donkey Kong Country 2/3 Returns:

Many people debate on whether or not there should be a sequel to DKCR, and I'm siding with those who want one. If this were to come about, then I hope they follow in the spirit of the original Donkey Kong Country sequels by keeping the game in the same style of originals.

For one, stick with the Tiki's being the main villains again (since the Kremlings were the villains of all the original three), and making the same characters playing as the stars of the sequels would also be a plus (DKC2R featuring Diddy and Dixie, and DKC3R featuring Dixie and Kiddy). The map styling should be done in the same way, with DKC2R taking place in the Tiki's "home-base" and having a darker feel to it, and DKC3R taking place in a combination of different small "lands" and having a more free-roam feel.

They already remade it for the DS, I don't think we need another remake.

UltiEDIT: Table stretch
Now that i think of it, an Angel Beats fighting game would be something i would play around for fun. :> inb4mugen
Megaman X9, in the style of the old SNES ones, with lots of different armour upgrades rather than just one and the choice to play as zero or even axl.

I have a weird dream. It give me some idea of create game. What if Mario play as Link in Hyrule? That is my strange dream. I think Link is retire to save the Hyrule. Link teach Mario how to use sword, shield, and blah blah etc etc etc. Before my dream end, Mario start nervous to start journey. I don't mean old game like Zelda Quest. What I mean about wii system or ds or 3ds. I know it sound weird but I just give a idea if good or bad idea.

You know, it'd be awesome if they remade the DS version on the wii.

Super Mario 64 DS Wii.

On a serious note, yeah, you could get it on DS, and even if you want it on the WII there's always the Virtual Console.

Reminds me of that sonic game, sonic and the black knight i think its called.
I don't think mario would need a sword and shield to save hyrule anyway, he would just jump and splat all of his enemies! :D

SUPER MARIO LANDS
This game would be the first 2 Super Mario Land games remade in the style of Super Mario All-Stars. They could even add a playable Luigi with a higher jump but reduced traction. This would most likely come out on the DS, but I don't know what the second screen would be used for.

SUPER SMASH BROS. RUMBLE
I remember hearing from a friend on MSN about a Smash Bros. game for the DS called Super Smash Bros. Rumble. We started discussing who and what we'd want in the game if it were to really be made. Before that, I discussed dream stages with friends in another chatroom. Here are some of the things I came up with:

ANGEL ISLAND STAGE
This stage would be from the Sonic series. Fights take place at the Master Emerald Shrine. Chaos 0 could randomly pop up and attack players, and the Master Emerald could be shattered from too many heavy attacks, sending the whole stage falling into the ocean.

EGG CARRIER STAGE
This stage would be set on Eggman's famous airship from Sonic Adventure. Players would have to deal with gun turrets that randomly fire on them. This stage would also include an E-102 Assist Trophy that locks onto your opponent and fires a rocket at him/her.

New characters would be Knuckles, Metal Sonic, and Mega Man.

- Transformers the Movie (1986)
I'm sure a lot of you won't know what game I'm going on about here but 'Hogs Of War' for the PS1 needs a sequel.

It was a game structured like Worms, but with a focus on upgrading your units over the campaign. To this day, it is one of my most played PS1 titles and a game I cherish.

they could improve it with:

-Better graphics (Obviously)

-More class trees (4 was good, but I think there is room for more, or at least longer ones.)

- Online skirmishes

- More in depth campaign (the first game got a bit repetitive)

Incidently, A 'Hogs Of War 2' was in development, but scrapped.

I cried when I found this out. (Kind of)
