Triangle to walk on wall : bug

Well, I don't know how to correct this bug.
I've put a left-facing triangle and when I want to use it, there's two choice of bugs happening :
1. Go through the wall and fall in the void in the wall.
2. Go through the wall but this one acts like have been crushed so, I die.

When I hover my mouse over the tile it says :

"A left facing triangle that let Mario run up a wall. It requires tile 0x1EB underneath it to work properly".

What is the tile "0x1EB"...

Help?

Open the "Add Objects" window and go the "Direct Map16 Access (Lunar Magic)" and hover your mouse on a tile and the description should say you which tile it is. Search for tile 1EB and place it under the triangle.
Thanks for the hint.

I did but I still go through the wall.

Never happened to me... Make sure the wall don't acts like a bush, blank tile, etc.

Surely you don't need to use the Map16 at all, you just look for the two tiles put together in "Extended Objects" ?
Super Mario World - Moon Edition

I just tried all possibilities :
- The extended object alone.
- The extended object AND the standalone 1EB tile.
- Both separated. 1EB tile & triangle for Direct16 access.

And the wall is the "Solid left, left facing bottom edge".

I'm still going through the wall.

Do you have any custom blocks in the wall that is causing you the problem?

Some custom blocks don't work properly with the triangle objects, for example, if you place a couple of No Mario blocks (the ones that sprites can go through only) on the wall to close off a small alcove with an enemy in it, you'll go through the No Mario blocks if you run up the wall.

I learned that one day in my hack, so lesson learned, be careful about using any custom blocks on a wall you can run up.
Thx for the tip.
However, my hack don't use any exGFX of any sort and no custom blocks or ennemies of any sort.

Have you tried using different tiles for the wall? There are a few objects that just won't work right with that object. Also, try making sure that the bottom part of the object (the ledge part) is on top of the ground tiles instead of behind.
Tried different stuff to walk on :
- Ciment block
- Turn blocks
- Brown used block

and followed your tip...

Nothing worked.

Try doing the same thing with a right facing triangle block. Mine work fine, and all I do is what was said above.
I'm part of the Testers for Hire thread, so if you'd like something play tested, no matter what it is, PM me, and I'll give you honest feedback. Anything else is in my profile.

Not working either.
I'm starting to think those :

- The layer 2 is fucking up the tile
- The tile set glitches up the tile

Can you provide a screen of what's set up in Lunar Magic?

Sure. Here is the screenshot :

EDIT

I edited back the level to the original setup.

Have you messed around with the Z position of the tile?

Soz if that's really obvious...
Super Mario World - Moon Edition

Could you take a screenshot WITH the mouse over it[triangle and wall] and show if anything is underneath. Also, even though this may not be the answer, DON'T MAKE TRIANGLES LAYER 2!(OR THE WALL.)
To Danjb :
What is the Z Postion???
If I don't know what it is, there's chances that I didn't screw up.

To MarioEdit :
Don't worry, it's not a layer 2. OK, I'll provide those screenshots

the only problem I could see there is that the ledge underneath it overlaps the triangle. Maybe it's your ROM.

My rom is working perfectly. Why would it not?
And, the triangle's edge of ground is and will be over the ground tile in place.

EDIT

I think you should check the data repository forum... I made a discovery that solve my problem... but... anyway, check this thread :

Hmm... I remember something similar happening to me at one point. Try completely taking out the bit of ground under the triangle. Put the triangle (coupled with the "must be under triangle" ground where you want it to go. Test the level as is. If there's no problem, just use something to make it look right for the blocks 2 and more underneath the triangle, and don't have overlapping blocks under the triangle itself.

Also, if the wall is still messed up, try using Exgfx changed cement blocks for it to see if that fixes anything. I have a habit of not using the kind of blocks you're using for the wall, using a corner block where necessary and then normal walls, rather than the ground to top thing you're using. Either way if there's a problem after those changes are made I can't think that there's anything but a bad rom.
