That boss was really creative. I <3 it. :3
Nice work on the custom boss Schwa. Looks like you're going to have an interesting plot in your hack when it's all good to go.

Also, since people didn't like the idea of the text on my old title screen, here is a much better one - now with new music, and improved action.

I like it, though the music seems a bit too quiet for a "battle". :P

The second video was based off level 3-3 in SML.

Actually it was 3-2. And yeah, it's one of my best ones I ever made. :)

You think so, eh? Strange. I thought I did a pretty good job on the Intro level... It's not as good as 1-3 or 1-5 though (sometime I'll have to show you 1-5). Ah well.

Eh, not really... I'm ad-libbing it. So far we have Mario who's on a random treasure hunt and stumbles across one of Bowser's cities in the middle of nowhere. :D

The Koopa boss, which I call "The Miser", might start things rolling though. It depends on what I can do with a few lines of text. :)

Thank you all for your feedback! <333 I'll have some more up later, but as it is I haven't been asleep for 48 hours.
It's me!!

High on life is the best high.
Schwa, that was awesome. :)
*gives cupcake*
Thank you for praise and opinions about my hack. It will very helpful reference.

Because I'm new here, I think giving my opinion of your hacks is presumptuous. (but I'm not new at hacking smw :D)
Anyway I cannot but praise your hacks. Nice level designs, SMS and Schwa. And SNN, your musics are brilliant. It seems that you compose them, isn't it?

This time, I upload some musics applied to SMW.
Download at here.

Please evaluate them. I'll take your advices and upload txt files after modification.
Worldpeace, these songs are incredible. Each song seems to be able to fit multiple themes, sound natural, but most of them seem rather tense. I can't really complain, since that's the style I like.

11 is a pretty calm song, and I can see it being used in dark, quiet levels, such as starlit paths, forests, and easy caves.

20 can fit into any tough situation, so it seems best for places where you need extreme caution and/or fast pacing in order to win.

21 seems to be fit levels the same way as 20, only more upbeat and catchy. I'm pretty fond of this song, though it's quite short. If it's your own song and if you don't mind going back to tweak it, have the song loop twice then add a longer segment that it can flow into easily. You seem really good at that.

22 is my favorite song you have, by far. This would be absolutely perfect for a sky level. Don't change this one! >.<

24 is a great utility song as well for tense levels of all kinds.

25 is the one you used in that video. This one is extremely memorable. It's not super-tense, and I can see it being used just about anywhere, from puzzle rooms to normal level segments to perhaps even mini-bosses. This is my second favorite, close to 22.

28 is very different from the rest of them and seems more like a boss song. I really like this one, too.

29... I can't really say because the SPC didn't work when I downloaded it.

Are these your own creations, or conversions? Either way, you have incredible skill, because these songs are beautifully done. Perhaps you should wait to submit them, though, since those songs set your hack apart from others, but we would be happy to have them here as well. The songs are far above average, especially 22, which is simply... amazing. In spite or our million-and-one songs, there aren't a lot of multipurpose or high-tension songs, so your songs bring something completely new to the table.

Now, let me comment on your video... That level seems like you've been working on it for a very long time, and it's thoroughly thought out. It looks extremely challenging, and seems to put a lot of SMW's puzzle elements together into such a small space. We don't have many puzzle-themed hacks, and judging by Keytastrophe's rating, puzzle hacks are received well here, and I'm sure you already have quite a few people eager to play yours, even though you only got here a couple days ago.

Overall, as a SMW hacker and a music hacker, you are patient and talented. You seem to put a lot of time into everything, and it shows.

Yes, S.N.N. composes a lot of his own music, and there are a few others that also compose, but 95% of the time, we convert songs from MIDIs that already exist, since it's faster and appeals to more people's interests. (What I mean is, more often than not, people will be seeking Mario music, Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana, Kirby, etc. rather than homemade songs, and to meet that demand, those are the songs we work on.)

Oh, and welcome to the community. :)

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
Hi worldpeace. Let me formally welcome you by saying those songs you made are quite awesome. Yes, there are a few of us that compose our own music, and if you have any questions, you could ask us (which is actually beyond unlikely looking at your talent)

And Kyoseron .. it's a royal shame you can't hear 29, because it kills 22. It is .. incredible.
You guys DO know that worldpeace isn't new to SMW hacking here, I remember him on the old SMWC board, same thread, and his level design was awesome :)

I'll edit when I see his new video
I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
heh, I had to download a completely different spc player to hear SPC 29 but its worth it good work :)(Too bad I didn't see the boss

S.N.N. I liked the old one but this one is cool too (A boss batle on the title screen ...Smart)

EDIT I guess I'll show some screenshots of my hack They're mostly palette Shows (Ignore the Mario in the status bar abd in the OW Im working on it)

My river level (The Bg I made myself Its not so great but I didn't want to mess with assembling)

Under river area

Under river area 2

My first submap (Ignore the OW mario)
The screen shots are a bit brighter than I expected (Possibly because I used Photobucket?)
Luigi looks a bit too bright in my opinion.

I replaced Reznor with Fry Guy, ignore the messed up status bar. Does anybody know, which gfx file the Reznor wheel is in?

I also use the Luigi gfx from the ExGFX section, I fixxed the berry problem with this file, too.
Its GFX27 but you'll need GFX27 edit (in the tools section) to get it to an editable format
Thank you for the fast answer!

here is the upgraded version:

I help when I can

Those are some really good songs(actually some of the best I heard). Did you compose them yourself? If you did, then dam, you are one hell of a composer! Great job. They are also my type of music, general, fast paced, normal cool. :)
But i think 28 was sorta odd.... but it was ok.
@ Breakfast - I love the Fry-Guy replacement of Reznor! That's awesome!

These are my new Koopa Stormtroopas - how do they look? The spiked helmet hurts the Mario Bros. when they jump on it. You can see my thread for more info on these sprites.

[?] Miscellaneous Helpful Hints
If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.

Looks good, andy_k_250!

New background:

Where am I...?

It's Mario!

What's in here?

It's Luigi, too!

This was one of the hardest backgrounds to assemble, and to think it had only took one 8x8 circle to pull it off. Not to mention a few palette tweeks.

I think I'll use it for bonus rooms and maybe switch palaces. I actually did this some time ago. Also, I'm not getting very good reception in my other thread anymore. Where is everybody?

AS IF I KNOW WHAT TO PUT HERE.

Hack Status: Cat Adventure Deluxe

@ AtomicShroom: Those look really good. Reminds me of the bonus stages in Super Mario Sunshine.
</a>
That background is amazing! :D I like the idea of having an image of Mario as a small easter egg for getting to a bonus room.
Your layout has been removed.
Breakfast : it's a good idea for the FryGuy!
Atomic Shroom : it's very good!
You is inspired in you of SMS or NSMB for your background?
