Super Mario World - Cruel!!

Standard

This is a kind of hack of for people that likes of hard hacks. There´s just 4 levels for while, and I'm almost ready to release the demo with those 4 levels. The overworld is not edited, and there are any inserted blocks/sprites/music, I will use it just for the future versions. The hack is simple, and will probably the players will end it fast, because there´s just 4 levels.

Level 1 - Cave of Darkness

A level with an dramatic change of palletes, it´s full of little passages and obstacles

Level 2 - Door Chase

This level is inspired in the 2nd last level of the Earthworm Jim 2, that he haves of chase an running door. This levels haves an Layer 2 Door that "runs" when you try to chase it. You can enter in the Level's End.

Level 3 - Fall of Pain
[No Screenshot Avaible] A level that you will fall from an big height being followed by bullet bills, and spikes.

Level 4 - Eight Deadly Doors

A level with 8 selectable doors with different challenges each one. There´s just 2 of them in the demo. The text of the box shows a simple "tip" of what kind of level you will play.

The hack will be released REALLY soon.
Now I leave my IPS patches of my hacks for everyone play and edit as you want to.

Interesting... Looks fun from the pics you posted, But looks very hard also.. Whats with all the dark colours? and highlights.. I reckon you should put in custom GFX to make this hack looks great.

Check the name of the hack and you will know why it´s very hard... This is an BETA version, I will change the palletes at the next versions.

I patched the demo to a clean ROM, but my emulator (SNESGT) crashed after I started a file, so I tried it again in a different one (SNES9x), and it says "bad checksum." I loaded your game into Lunar Magic to see what the problem was, and it gives the "ROM is corrupt" message along with "Lunar Magic has detected and corrected 2 fatal errors in the Sprite Layout data." I moved a sprite then put it back where it was and hit save to see if that would give more information, and it did:

"You currently have 162 sprites in the level (the limit is usually around 84.)

Exceeding the limit may cause extra sprites not to show up, or worse, the game could freeze..."

Of course, there was more, but obviously, it's gamebreaking and unplayable. I really wanted to play this since it looks fun, but you'll have to correct it first. Sorry. >.<

Suggestion: Break up the level into different segments (when you're near the limit, make a door or pipe to the next section so you don't overload the game with too many sprites so that it can work this time around.)

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
What? It´s fine to me, there´s any sprite error when I play. I think it was during the patch making. I will correct it. But, how I do to remove it from the waiting list?!

EDIT: Yes, was really the clean ROM that I used during the patch making, it was modified. I'll re-send the fixed hack.
