Hi. I downloaded the new version of addmusic but am still having the infinite p-switch and star music bug.

I tried using the new version to add music to a rom that already has custom music and still had this bug so I thought maybe the bug fix is in the INIT. (Is this correct?)

When that didn't work, I got a fresh ROM, expanded with Lunar Magic, and then used INIT, then added the music. The bug is still happening.

How is the bug fixed? What do you need to do to get it to work?

did u try expanding it first in LM then INITing, then inserting the music?
Don't extract the GFX before inserting music. Do that after INITing.
This is so frustrating! I've tried this about twenty times and I still get that bug. I thought it was fixed!

Edit: I even downloaded the Addmusic made easy program to make sure. I installed it in a seperate directory and everything. I took another fresh SMW rom, expanded it, ran the exe and told it to do everything. Everything works perfectly except that the star and p-switch music still goes on infinitely.
Heisanevilgenius here is how to fix it!:)

If you want to fix a ROM already added custom music, open the ROM by hex editor.
Next, saerch "1A 09 20 8D FB 1D 9C DA 0D 6B" and change to "1A 09 20 8D FB 1D 8D DA 0D 6B".
If you will public announce, I'm happy if you also announce that MiOr found how to fix this glith.

Im 99%sure that my addmusic programs all have the fix and auto correct it, english and japanese included.
I have a problem.
Whenever I try to do anything with Addmusic, I get an error message:
"'java' is not recognized as an operable program or batch file."
It's not the entire message, but I have all the files in the Addmusic folder, and I have no idea what's wrong. Help is very greatly appreciated.
This problem happens with both Addmusic and AMME.

Thanks. I'll give that a try!

Edit: My hex editor can't find that string. Where is it supposed to be located?

PPS: D'oh! Stupid! I forgot to take out the spaces :p My bad.

@Aiyo: Well, the problem is, I have all my hack files on an internet-free computer (1). So I downloaded Java onto this computer (2), and copied the "C:\Program Files\Java" folder from (2) onto a thumb drive and put the folder onto (1) in the "C:\Program Files" folder. Addmusic still doesn't work, and I can't think of another way to get Java onto (1).

Yikes...

If any of you can think of a way to help, that'd be great.

In case you can't understand rudimentary English, just search for it in the hex editor.

And change your freaking avatar. ¬_¬

No, not you, Xgor.
But Bowserkoopa's was like 250 x 250, and was messing up the tables.

But, seriously, does anyone have advice?

Okay - I've been working on SGTB for a pretty long time now, and I can't seem to fix the melody. (I'm assuming it's only channel 0 that is wrong. S.N.N. says the drumline is fine, so it's not #1 that's a problem.)
The problem is that some of the notes are wrong, and though I have an MP3 of it to help figure out which notes they are, everything I change seems to mess it up even more. So... I kept a backup from the last time I tried uploading it since that was my closest one so far.

I'm declaring this open source, and I'm going to post it. Since I'mapparently too tone-deaf to fix it, I'll let someone else take over and upload it if they can manage to get it right, and they will get 51% credit (In other words, make sure you include me second when you name the author.)

If any of it disappears, then quote and copy. I didn't put in the code tags because channels 1 and 3 when I do, so, eh... Also, if this is against ToS, sorry, I didn't see anything about this, and delete this. :X

Download the exe(setup file) and copy that to a disk on comp 2. Take the disk and insert it into comp 1. Drag it to your desktop and run it.
Thank you, Aiyo. I'll try that.
