This patch let's you use VWF text boxes like in some old SNES RPGs in your game. So far it's rather complicated to use, but the Readme is pretty detailed, so it shouldn't be a problem.

WOW! THIS LOOKS SUPER AMAZING! I'm gonna try it a bit later, though.
Also, there's a Dragonball reference?
I LOVE YOU RPG HACKER.
Seriously, this was one of the big things why I really waited for C3. Thanks for releasing this awesomeness. I'll find a good use of this for sure.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
This is the whole reason I was looking foward to C3!
Time to download and test methinks :D
I don't hack SMW, but this looks pretty cool! Makes a difference to the usual SMW message boxes.Free counters!

Sorry to dissapoint you, but I posted this in the German forum first and a few people replied before you there. #w{=P}

Actually fantastic! I didn't expect to see it in this C3. Very good!
Oh god, I'm so gonna use this in my hack.

The possibilites are like infinite.
This is pure win.
Wow, this is such a good feature for SMW. It can make some suspense moments without having to pause the game or going into a cut scene room. This is just...pure amazing....amazing.

I was the first to reply to your first video and your thread in Advanced, though. :P

By the way, I've watched the video now... Wow, that patch can do even more than I thought it would. You're awesome.

Well OK, you got a point here. #w{=P}

The cool thing is that SMW already has like 7 differently pitched shell hit sounds in it, which all make for a great letter sound.

I am just dumbfounded really at how this turned out, you did a amazing job!

I'll have to give this a shot very soon. I can see some awesome YI message box like things coming out of this.
meh
So I just watched the whole video and I have to say, I'm freaking excited to use this patch in The Big Boo's Legion 2. So many awesome possibilities, options, and looks pretty user friendly to me. The readme explains everything very well. Million thanks for creating and releasing this, RPG Hacker. Something that is incredibly useful for SMW hackers.
That Guard at the castle entrance just blew my mind. I can't believe that something like this is possible now! It seems my dreams have come true, and SMW hacks are closer to RPG games with another big step. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
Just a little question about this. Does this patch require a specific version of xkas?
That looks awesome, I will see if I'll have an opportunity to use it.
Now I need to change my old avatar. Or not.

Now i just gotta insert that block, and learn how to change the colour of the box :D

BTW i used the latest XKAS GUI, cuz im a asm inserting noob -.-

The only version I tested was v0.06, so I recommend using that. Also - if using a batch file - you should put an "@pause" at the end. Otherwise the window will instantly close again and you won't get to see the addresses and byte outputs.

Yeah, I wanted to include an optional start menu patch which would let you customize your box ingame (like in Secret of Mana), but I didn't make it in time.
