OK, going to try something new:
1) Make sure you have downloaded a block from (pref. SMWC) a site and saved itto a known space.
2) Open BTSD, load your ROM, and everything should be started in BTSD. Also, if no blocks have been inserted, a file will be made to your convenience so you don't have to insert the blocks again.
3) Now, put the block in the asm folder (usually in the folder where BTSD is)
4) Now, go to "Data" and click the "edit database" function.
5) Once there, press the "add button" and select the file extension that your block corresponds to (.asm or .bin)
a)For ASM, you simply type a name, description, and block location (e.g. asm\(blockname + extension).
b)bin files are pretty similar, however, one thing I should point out are the Mario below, above, etc. What you want to do is keep the sets on 0 if you don't want Mario to act that way, or 1 if you do.
6) Then press the "OK" button, and it will be in blocktool's database.
7) Next, you press the "block" button and click the "insert" function.
8) A list should be brought up. Click the block you want inserted, and set it to act for a tile most preferably 300+. Then click OK.
9) Now the block shall be in your list, as well as your game, so go to LM, click the "? block" (Edit Map16 attributes) and got to page 3 byy pressing the down arrow key.
10) Left-click the Map16 block 300 (should be indicated at the bottom) and click the edit 16 by 16 attributes.
11) Set it to act like 130 or 25 (usually) and press OK.
12) Now
right-click that same spot (300), and now all you got to do is hit F9.
The block should be inserted, and graphics can be implemented to the block at one's will. If this was not what you meant, than it has to be something els your doing.
