Death Volcano (Now with Userbar!)

I started this hack last Saturday. The story is that Bowser Kidnaps Peach and Dumps Mario in the Sea. Then Mario finds out that Bowser took Peach to the top of the Death Volcano on Koi Island.

I'll show you some screenshots of the first level, "The Deep Blue Sea".

This is the sea. I made the BG by using DKC Gang Plank Galleon Graphics and Removing the Island. I had to remove it due to palette issues. Also, I made the palette myself.

I made this mushroom design myself.

This is probably the most annoying part of the level. A Narrow Chute with Torpedo Teds and a nice DKC Coral Capers BG

I know the status bar palette is messed up, it'll be worked on later.

Oh, and I've Pretty Much Abanoned the Hammer Bros. Army. I may pick back up on it someday. :)

Boing, you usually point out why it's bad and how it can be fixed.
About the first two screens, where it's dark blue, then to light blue. It just doesn't work like that. During the day it's light to dark starting from the top, and night is vise-versa. Also Death Volcano sounds like a name of a world, not a game.

Also, the sea colors (in the 1st screenshot) suck. :/ You should've keeped the former palette.

It's underground. I KNOW ABOUT PALETTES! Can you please tell me what you think of my hack that ISN'T about the palettes? Oh, and Death Volcano is only a temporary name for now. I might change it. But I like it right now.
It is a very good hack. I see that you have put much effort in it. But I suggest you not using too many script (Screenshot 1). After you released the hack, I will play it at once.
There are four kinds of koopa. They are green, red, blue and yellow Koopa. All of you must give credit to me as I released such extremely, unbelievably and incredibly useful information.

Sorry for the Double Post. Anyway, the game will have 5 worlds! They Include:

-Koi Island-First Area of The Game, Seaside\Grassland themed
-Deathly Caverns-The Bottom of Death Volcano, Cavern-Themed
-Surface Ridge-Very Short World on a higher part of the exterior of Death Volcano. Rock\Air Platform-Themed. It's on the same map as Koi Island
-Icy Heights-An icy higher part within Death Volcano, Ice-Themed. Has It's own Map. Although I do Plan on making an even higher ridge than surface ridge and putting a level or two of this world up there.
-Death Summit (Final World, A lot of Lava Here. It's outside but it's very stormy and rocky, it's Lava/Rock themed, it also Has It's Own Map.)

The Level I showed you isn't part of any World. It's on the same map as Koi Island and Surface Ridge, though. And the world I told you dosen't include secret worlds...

By the way, that's just my plan. I haven't started the actual overworld yet, but will soon. One level is complete so far and it's the one I showed you, The Deep Blue Sea, speaking of which, there's one more area of it, a miniboss fight: 2 Boomerang Bros. and a Hammer Bro. The next level is a beach level, and after that comes a ghost house. I'm working on the ghost house first until I can find a better Seaside BG, and after those two are complete, Koi Island becomes more of a grassland further inward in the next level, then after that comes another (Air-Platform?) level, and then the castle, and then finally the entrance to Death Volcano.

That is the miniboss fight I was talking about. The Water may have some purpose in the future, but for now it's just for looks.

It's been fixed. More info. on this level above. Also, the boomerang bros. are back! :D But I had to remove the vertical level "generator".
Koi Island 1

More Info. on this later. It's not finished quite yet, as evidenced by the unfitting BG. (I'm currently looking for a better one). Shown here is a P-Switch Race Section

As You can see, I fixed the palette. Also, I modifed the boo GFX.

The Vertical Level "Generator" is used here.

That wraps it up for now. I know the sea palettes are still wrong. :(

It's an unused sprite from the original game. It follows you around but does nothing really, just a neat decoration. To put it in: You have the newest version of Lunar Magic Anyway, IN THE OVERWORLD EDITOR, click the lakitu (Sprite Editor) button. click the fish icon and select a bluejay anywhere on a dropdown list but #4, which should always be left nothing, and #3, which are supposed to be boos. Then just drag the sprite into whichever submap you want. There's also an unused OW lakitu sprite which acts the same as the bluejay.
You OW looks blocky, flat, and empty. Make it look more natural, hilly, and detailed.
What's up with the middle boo? It looks just plain nasty. Also, I agree that your OW needs work, the beach palette is too bright if you ask me, and how about you use a different level for the title screen?

Is that palette darker for you? (The leaves may not be dark enough, and the BG is just a Placeholder for now.

The Title Screen Level hasn't been edited yet because I can't find a fitting BG.
Haven't had an update in awhile. Today I will show you the next level, Koi Island 2! I'll give a short walkthrough.

The level has a smb3 sky bg with mist. Don't say anything about the albatoss palette please. It's not wrong, it's just the image quality that makes it look darker.

Now para-bombs have join the army.

Here is the midway point. Ignore the smb3 block tile under the used block, I didn't notice it until I uploaded it to Photobucket.

The next part has a darker sky palette. This time the shells koopas kick at you deflect off blocks.

And Finally a Miniboss fight against Birdo.

The level auto-scrolls. On the first area, it scrolls at a slow speed. On the second Area, it scrolls at a medium speed. Also, a variety of enemies attack you including koopas kicking shells, albatosses with bomb-ombs, para-bombs, bulletbills, hopping flames, and finally birdo. It's quite an army. Hopefully, it's not as hard as you think.

Give feedback that's NOT about the palettes please.

I'm changing it to a grassland actually. I don't really like the beach fg.

The Black thing is the Blue Jay's Shadow.
