I'll comment! I liked it. I think it's an interesting style for a first level. You changed the part with the invisible block! So that's good.
Some things that could use improvement:
- The submap is a nice big room with good detail, but it only has a single Yoshi coin above the platform. Maybe throw in some more stuff, like a powerup? Or make the coin harder to get?
- When Yoshi grew from a baby to adulthood, he thanked Mario for freeing him from an egg. You might want to fix that dialogue.
- The flopping cheep-cheep wouldn't die on contact? Is that intentional?
- The block formation at the start of the level (three coin blocks in a row with a power-up block above them) is a classic Mario formation, dating all the way back to SMB 1-1. There's nothing really wrong with it, but perhaps such familiar scenery should be avoided this early in your game. The first impression is the most important, and you don't want the player's first impression to be "oh great, I've seen this before."
