Inserting ExGFX [Legacy]

This is NOT palette problem: This is the same graphic AND the same palette.



The Map16 blocks don't use the right palette (even if you said) change them to use the right palette.
Your layout has been removed.
Hey, can anyone help me? I insert the ExGFX, press F3, F9, it's all good. That is, until I realized F9 did nothing. If I did all that, exited out of LM, went back in, the ExGFX I inserted was not saved. What is the problem?


PS: I use crossover on Mac for LM, does that have anything to do with it?

Which mac computer version are you using? Did you go into System Preferences and make F9 do special things like go to Dashboard or something? If so, then make it do nothing.

I realized my problem. I use Snow Leopard, and I was using CNTRL + F9, but I needed to use ALT F9 to save it. XD

Whenever I download any ExGFX, it never comes with "Map16PageG.bin"Free counters!
Are you by any chance downloading background graphics? Since background tiles don't have "Acts Like" settings, they don't need Map16PageG.bin files.

Yeah, I'm getting background graphics.

I can't seem to be able to insert them though (it says the Map16PageG.bin files are missing)Free counters!
Are you inserting them on a page between 10 and 1F? (40-7F if you are using Lunar Magic 1.70)

I inserted them on a page between 10 and 1F and it worked, but how can I set it as the background? At the moment it has the original SMW background as a garbled mess with the BG graphics I'm using.

I also imported the palette file that came with the ExGFX.

EDIT: Found out myself.Free counters!
I'm having problems inserting this ExGFX. Whenever I load up the Map16Page that comes with it, I'm just getting graphics from the original SMW background in Level 106.Free counters!
Are you inserting the ExGFX file as BG1?

It turns out I forgot to select it in the Red Poisonous Mushroom. It's fixed, now.Free counters!

@TheMojopo - Insert the GFX then press yes on that message so it will never appear again. (It's only used for Exanimating stuff since there will be garbled graphics if you don't)

I'm trying to insert player ExGFX for Yoshi, but it wont let me. LM never detects it. How can I get Lunar Magic to detect this ExGFX?

tl;dr you're a cool person :)
You don't insert player graphics as ExGFX. Instead, you replace the original GFX32 and GFX00 with the new ones.
