Amazing Flyin' Hammer Brother in Credits? or Not?

Just noticed that in the SMW Credits, It shows the Hammer brother riding on two grey empty blocks instead of the grey frozen turnblocks he usaully rides on.

Weird Right?

Not really, honestly. SMW has weird stuff like that. What I think is weirder (and what isn't even that weird) is that they left out a bunch of enemies. Chainsaw and Fuzzy immediately come to mind, but there are several more.

And this would probably be better in the Data Repository, but whatever, I'm not one to judge.
I guess they couldn't fit those in with the song.#w{=P} I would of put this in the data repository but I thought it might be thought of as a glitch and taken out.
Yah, I've always been confused by that. dry bones and boner bony beatles have a wierd pallete

I guess Nintendo rushed SMW...

They might have made the credits before finishing the actual game.

That wouldn't make sense though, then they couldn't include people coming into the project towards the middle/end...

Who knows when I'll have
something to put here.

Credits go to Counterfeit for the bitchin' post layout.

No. They were making a game on new hardware and this is all they figured out or knew what to do. As the years went on, better games came like Chrono Trigger and SMW2: Yoshi's Island.

Well, SMW was the first game for the SNES, so maybe Nintendo wanted to release it as soon as possible, or they just ran into problems when making it. It was a new system, after all.

Edit: Ninjis...

Yeah, the credits have a lot of oddities. For instance, Chargin' Chuck is blue in the credits but green in-game (although, when he's running, one of his sprites use the wrong (blue) palette), suggesting that he was originally blue, but they changed their minds.

Oh yeah, and he's blue in the manual as well.

Anyway, the reason for this is that the credits enemies don't use the sprites' rendering code. Instead, the credits have their own pieces of data describing how the enemies should be pieced together. As such, changing one doesn't change the other, meaning that inconsistencies are to be expected.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.
I heard that SMW was originally going to be for the nes. it's a shame, if nintendo would've taken more time, they could've problably fixed things like this with better graphics and more levels.

This doesn't apply for retro games. ¬_¬
IT APPLIES FOR ALL GAMES!
I will become alive again sometime soon.

Unfortunatly, a lot of people don't think that way.

"This silly game has too much story and fun gameplay, it sucks. It should have better graphics instead."

"This shooter game has awesome graphics and has absolutly no storyline or fun sections! This is what a real quality game is."

Well, I guess that what you see in the credits is how it was in the beta.
Also, graphics==levels, because, say you have crappy graphics, like totally eye-searing. Would levels be more important? If the levels are okay; cutoff, bad graphics and palettes would be fine? Thats a no.

I might put some sort of signature here once. I guess.
I agree with Jerry86 that graphics are as important as levels. I also think palettes do matter as a good palette makes something really stand out.
