some of Ixtab's comments maybe unfair, but to be honest alot of then are from personal opinions, still take note in some of the things he/she said to improve...

on another note: i enjoy seeing this hack progress :)

This hack isn't bad at all, otherwise is good for be a first hack. But you could improve a lot of thinks such as:
· The OW you could make more relieve and also more decoration.
· Springboard pallete
· Changing the status bar

Also i've see the video and i think that the fortrress is to short, linear and repetitive. The two principals rooms that has the level are similar, i think that you should change one of them and make the other room more theme with the level. If the fishing boo is the boss here you could put some boos ( with YI) in the previous room before meet the boss. You can make also less linear and repetitive the level without turning it a maze or confusing. The rest of the hack looks good.

An idea for you: you can use an sprite that is in the custom sprite section called SMW hammer bro stationary ( by Sonikku) it uses the main smw amazing hammer bro gfx. If you replace that hammer bro gfx by the Ukiki of YI ( here is the link:www.smwcentral.net/?p=showexgfx&id=907) you could make a good touch to your hack putting that sprite in the top of a palm tree in jungle levels.

thanks for trying to stop this too, ersan(yeah, i tried too, but, as i stated before, i am very limited. so it looked like i didn't care D: i apologise for what i did. ixtab should too, as he went along with the war)

i only have one thing to say left: i think, that Ixtab's opinion is different than all of the others. thats a good thing. he can also express it very well. also a good thing.

and yeah, its indeed a challenge to make good YI styled SMW hacks.
this came out really good, and since it also is his first hack(meaning he has less experience), he did an awesome job on his side.

this could became a great hack if you want. Also if you want i could beta test if or giving you some ideas (only if you want). At least for be your first hack is an example for hackers that put floating munchers, bad slopes, palletes, etc.

12 works well too. If there's one specific sprite that makes it lag, we can tell what to use for that also.

I'm still very impressed with this hack. It's not because "I'm giving extra credit". If someone has looked at most of my posts in this forum, you'll notice that I'm actually more harsh on newbies. I feel that when you're new, you need a larger explanation on what's wrong, and need to be able to see how you can improve. If you're a veteran, you can more likely see the problem and/or know how to fix it. Just my 2c.

Well, okay, I think this hack looks decent enough for the most part, but...I don't really have any detailed comments or constructive criticism for it right now. (I, however, have to say that I actually quite like YI graphics for the most part, whatever anyone else says about them being overused.) The main thing I wanted to say is that if you're having troubles with sprite memory, try this patch. If you've patched this, all you have to do is set the sprite memory header to 10 (although it doesn't work properly with a couple of sprites, such as the Sumo Brother, Bowser, and I think Lakitu). I personally would never not use it in any of my hacks. But it's your call.

BTW do u think someone's gonna do a 'let's play' on this? Like Raocow did with other hacks. That would be cool!
There isn't anyway to tell if someone will LP your hack, since it is ultimately their decision. You could always PM a Let's Play-er to play your hack.

Maybe when I finish up with Sendy's World, I can play this one.
Oh, one thing- I gave you (testers) the wrong ips file. It was a prototype- I'll send you the fixed version now.
Koopinator I went to the page and it said deleted file, refreshed 3 times, same thing (because sometimes it says deleted file, and when you refresh it works.) please reupload.
