Perhaps try searching for a Japanese version of LM?

User "Glitch.Mr" has made a glitch hack and released it today, I was commenting on that.
As for Item Abuse: I don't think a lot of glitches there were 'well-known', creating problems
. Also there is the eternal problem that if you make a puzzle hack and at any point use the block factory glitch or force the player to keyjump, P-jump, walljump or any other relatively insane glitch the player will from that point on assume it was intended to be spammed and break multiple levels (and enjoy willingly breaking levels too, as far as personal experience goes).
As for creating puzzle levels; I might be able to give you a clue on that. Start with an intended solution and move as many seperate segments of the glitch away from eachother. (for example: Yoshi-springboard clipping. Spread a spring, baby yoshi and 5 items to feed throughout the level and reverse the order you meet them in.) Now place as many
useless items in your level as possible, and make sure none come for free (make a tough segment or force the player to give up one item to obtain the next). This already makes for a decent puzzle level, although this is likely to be broken using the 'useless' items.
In case you don't feel like putting lots of useless items into your hack, don't worry. Very often the amount of items you can place in a level without giving birth to breaks is one or none at all.
Totally unrelated sidenote: I

Of course you should fight fire with fire, you should fight everything with fire.
