No. Have you inserted the ExGFX? You need to press F3(?) on a blank Map16 page to load the tiles, that is, if it came with a map16 page. If not, you need to assemble them using the 8x8.

I'm assuming since your new, you may not know how to insert ExGFX, and I recommend finding a tutorial.

EDIT: I'm an idiot, I forgot that you're using a level file. -_-

Nonetheless, you need to load the tiles and use the super GFX bypass dialogue.

You need to insert the background Map16 (map16page.bin) onto a Map16 page between 12 and 1F. Click on the question block in LM's toolbar, and press down until the number at the bottom is between 12 and 1F. Make sure map16page.bin is in the same folder as the ROM, and press F3, then OK.

And at that, is the background map16 page (Level -> Change background map16 page) set to the page that your background's map16 is on?

You mean the FG? Look at the included sample level to learn how to assemble them.


ExAnimated GFX file 0x17B is just ExGFX17B. If you changed the number, it will say that. Just go to Super GFX Bypass and change the ExAnimation file to 17B.

Basically, if you changed the number in the file's name, you have to change the number in the level as well.
