How many points is "xx"?
Depends on the person judging.

I don't really think this should be based by how many levels there are, but by the length of the levels. I could make four super-short levels in no time.
Length is another category, I'll add it later.

This should not give you bonus points.
Right. I'll change that to "The auto being 'fluid'"
Aka it isn't something stupid like running in a sraight line for a bunch of screens.

Notice that we said message BLOCKS. If you use an automessage, and this includes yoshi message, you're disqualified. You might want to use a patch or something to disable it for yoshi or at least plan around it.
Two questions here:
1) Would a message block count if it doesn't play messages?
Yes
2) Would a message block count if you made it so that the message goes away after a short period of time without you having to press a button?
No, but if you don't make it clear that that happens or that they don't really need to press buttons, it does.

This seems to imply that submissions can't use anything that effects gameplay at all.
No you still can, but since it'd be harder to do stuff without this stuff, it might impress judges more.

Same thing for any other time during the game that is not in a level. You could be awarded EXTREME bonus points (ok it's just 4).
Okay, I have a problem here. Editing the overworld should not effect your score, as this is an autoplay
level contest.
What it means is, if you can make it so you don't even need to press buttons on the overworld to navigate it, that could help your score.
