Custom Music....

Well, I've tried adding custom music before but I couldnt figure out how. I looked at videos, but it still confused me. can someone get me a tutorial or something THAT IS UP TO DATE? Most of the ones I've seen use a program not on the website anymore.

Which AddMusic are you using?
I've tried many, a tutorial for any program that I can get is fine.

Here's one that that helped me quite a lot.

I use Romi's Addmusic for my songs.
I'm also theorizing that you don't know how to use it. Here's a tutorial for Romi's Addmusic.
EDIT: Well, there goes my 250th post. Ah well.
i know this isnt quite what you asked but just get romis addmusic and then copy cmd into the addmusic folder (or make a batch file like this

addmusic.exe obvioussubstitute.smc
@pause
like that ^)
and place the song you want in the respective folder and in this ini file addmusicini then you type the txt files name in the level slot you want to use. same for overworld. you enter it in like this
20=megamari cirno.txt (now for this, if the song has a space in its name, well, add a space :P)
then in the command prompt, type addmusic.exe romname.smc then hit enter, now after you insert, you get a msc file which you keep with the rom at all times so when you open lunar magic, you can see whats there.
lastly, to change title music with romis, you need to either hex edit or just at the top of the ini file, youll see titlescreen=01 or something like that, change it to one of the overworld themes like 0A and then insert the song you want in that slot.

this one hasnt worked for me. I think I found the problem though. when I rename it, it says: WARNING! changing the name may cause it not to work. would you like to change it anyways? Of course, I do and then it changes form text to a file. Do you know how to fix this?

that's happening because you are deleting the whole file name. and you said it was a text file so put .txt at the end and it will fix it.

Always remember to not delete the .&&& at the end of the file. (&&& being the file extension)

Don't worry about batch files. They're only needed with RevX, but you shouldn't be using that anyways.

Anyways, this tutorial helped me a lot.
