Have you ever seen a ghost?

I have. I lived in 3 different houses and they are only about 100 feet apart each. Our newest house is safe but, the other 2... 1 was haunted and the other still is. In the not haunted anymore house, I've seen lights and tvs go on and off and someone touching my head when no one was there. He left though.

The haunted house is scary. It is always cold there even on a 90F day! I have experienced door slammings in there while every door was open, even after the slamming sound. I have seen shadows in there and wierd things always happens. Note, that we live very close to a tombstone store and close to a cemetary.

So there is my story. What is yours?
I've never seen a ghost, I don't belive in such things.

If your house is cold it may be because of the way it's made, or becuase of the wind that would also explain why doors slam all the time.

If the light goes off it may because of many reasons, maybe the genertor is not verry stable or something.

Sometimes, when we feel nervous may hear sounds or feel things that aren't there, but it's not real.
Huh... I have no suhc thinsg here... however my mother's house (the nest home sotospeak)... well... growing up, there woul dbe unexplained creaks whne you sit in the living room. You mind your own business, and then I or Becky (or anybody in the house if friends are over) would swear they can hear a creak in the floor boards.

Hell, even today if I ever visit my mom, I can still sometimes hear that ghostly walk in my mother's bedroom from the living room downstairs. It's just so creepy... So... I guess I can say my mom's place has a bit of a haunt, but nothing manevolent or evil... unless you count the time whne I was eight years old, and I wake up feeling somebody strangle me to death... and there's no one in my old bedroom.

O.O

I always like these kinds of stories. I have seen a ghost. You'll know my story if you see th post I made in the phobia post in this forum. It was late at night, so I may have just been seeing things. But it was creepy.
A long time ago I lived in a small town in Iowa. Before my family went separate ways my Grandmother lived in a small house with my cousin. It was a regular house except the basement. The basement always sent a chill down my spine every time I climbed down those rickety stairs. All the way to the right wall of the basement there was a row of three windows which clearly showed a sealed room covered in strange yellow pillows. One day my Grandmother asked me to get the clothes from the washing machine (which was in the basement). I heard a sound that sounds similar to static and when I looked at the left-most window I could have sworn I saw a horrifying face that's indescribable by words. I rushed up the stairs with the clothes and never spoke of it again...
No, because I do not believe in ghosts until someone proves me otherwise. Until then, if I think I saw one, I see a doctor =P.
No, but I want to have a perverted and sexual "out of this world" experience with one

Wait... WHAT?!
I think we had a thread about paranormal activity already...eh, I think it was more broad than this, though.

No, I have never seen a ghost, and I firmly don't believe in them. I believe in angels, though.
No, and I lack belief of anything of the sort. If you're to believe in ghosts, why not believe there really are monsters under your bed?

I post a true story and you fools continue discussing why you don't believe in ghosts. Makes me angry.

You're disturbed.

I have never seen a ghost, and I don't believe in them. I think those haunted house programs are nothing more to scare people, and the "phenomenom" you get in real life may be just because you live in a crappy house.
Good fucking bye.

Exactly. I agree, Captain. Ghosts aren't any more plausible.

Jeez, how nice of you

On topic: No, I have not seen one, however. My teacher told me a ghost story. Whenever he wasreally sick, a dark shadow would appear ot of the corner of his eye, and when he looked at it, it went into the air ducts. I believe in ghosts highly. And for people who don't, I believe there is no heaven, only reincarnation. IF your soul gets lost along the way to its new body, then your a ghost.

I look forward to haunting you Disarray!

Sounds like a crackshot for a HarryxMyrtle fic. XD

I believe, and have seen, a ghost here in my own house. It's the ghost of the ex owner, he died here ... but strangely enough, he's not a vengeful asshole spirit; he's quite gentle, and he turns on our lights for us when we forget to, or if we're napping. And when we forget to turn OFF the lights, he'd do it for us.

It's cuz when he was still alive, he knew my father when he was growing up, so he respects us. We're tearing the house apart right now so we can re-insulate it, so I think he's left us alone for the time being. He's probably sick of the cold too =/

Poor guy...

I have...

In my house, i used to sleep in one bedroom, but after a year or so, i moved into the master room. Not the master bedroom, the biggest room in the house. Two different ghosts i have seen!

1) Normally i sleep like you are supposed to, but sometimes i sleep reversed: my head where my feet would be and stuff. One night like that, i woke up around 2:30. (Note: i can sleep through anything. I've slept through trains, hurricanes, you name it. My parents are on the 1st floor, and i'm on the 2nd. They'll complain about the heavy storm, and I will not have known. I slept right through it.) So anyway, 2:30. I looked at my clock, which would usually be near my head, to see the time. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw this small orb of light. It didn't move, it stayed there for a second. I turned to face it, and it was gone. My heart was racing. I was distracted by it, so I didn't fully know what time it was. I looked back at the clock, and guess what I saw? Thats right! The same orb of light! My clock's time thing is red, and the orb was plain... how do i describe it?

2) A few years ago, my great grandma passed away. In my room (we are at the room where i saw ghost #1, only i'm facing normal.) I had my great grandma's rocking chair. She loved to rock in that rocking chair. She would rock everyday if she could. One night, I have no idea when it was at night, I looked at the rocking chair (it was in my room.) and I saw a figure that kind of resembled my great grandma. It wasn't rocking, or I would have messed my pants so bad! LOL. There was nothing on the chair, and I got up, turned the light on, and nothing was there. It is now in the shed. I think my great grandma was in her chair, and who knows, watching over me.
Just visiting...

I don't think this is true. About the lights, it's probably someone else (living) in the house turning them on or off for you.
