My username is actually a misspelling of the disease "Rabies". I don't know how Raibys pronounces his/her name.

Also to Tom Servo, the online friend I mentioned is CCF9 (That's his SMWC username). His YouTube page is here.

And I'm actually not extremely new, I joined a few weeks ago.

Who knows when I'll have
something to put here.

I guess the first step to becoming a successful member of any community, big or small. So, I present to you, me.

I'm Canadian, so don't be surprised if I'm plotting the phrase "eh" whenever I think what I'm saying is true but still needs to be confirmed, sort of as a replacement for the common internoob saying "Amirite?".

I was raised by a teenage mother who enjoyed playing the SNES, therefore I'm a big fan of games like SMW and LoZ:LttP. I've been Emulating games such as World of Warcraft and Pokemon for a while, but when I heard of SMW hacking from "Let's Plays" by ProtonJonSA, I was turned on.

I didn't come here to make a new course built up of 99% muncher and 1% stars. I'm an aspiring game developer and hope to make something more along the lines of Super Mario TKO, where it's realistic and fun at the same time, like classic SMW!

Well, I hope to meet some of you! That's all for now! Bye!

You sound pretty intelligent and fascinating in general, and it's always a pleasure to have these sorts of newcomers here at SMWCentral - welcome aboard! Hope you actually stick around, because you really do sound more mature than the average newcomer we get 'round here, heh.

Eldrak,
I hope you enjoy the site!
And I also agree with Broozer,

Eeep! I made a small mistake in my first line; sorry if my sentences sometimes don't make sense, I have a Logitech Mouse who's drivers are incompatible with my Default Mouse Drivers, which for some reason keep being used instead of my new drivers.

In other words, my cursor types when I jump.

Anyways, thank you Broozer and Rabees, I'll certainly stick around. If I get caught up on work, I may put this on the back of my mind and totally forget. Remind me on MSN @ [email protected] :P

It is actually nice to see newcomers who wants to stay around. :)

Welcome Eldrak to SMW Central! I hope you enjoy your stay. Also you can read the Rules and the F.A.Q. if you haven't done so already.
Interesting info there. It's nice to see a new member who actually tells us about themself rather than a simple "hi okay bye".

Welcome to the site.
Welcome, Ambu Lance, ironrhino25, Rabees, Eldrak, and anyone else I forgot. Enjoy your stay here! Browse around, check out the various forums, the different resource sections (graphics, music, sprites, etc.)...whatever. We have an official IRC channel as well, #smwc on irc.caffie.net. (Although it it's too raunchy for you, I can recommend a couple other channels.)

HuFlungDu: Yeah, I think I will enjoy this place quite a bit. It looks interesting. But...I need to learn more ASM before I can make any decent hacks. So far, all I've made is a block: LDA
#$7E0019 STA $01. Can you teach me more?

Kristian: Wait. Who did you say you were again? You don't look familiar to me. Have you been here long?

Okay, switching gears to serious mode...old members, I'm not sure that this is exactly the purpose of this thread, but oh well. I never introduced myself either.

I am imamelia. On the Internet, I usually go by imamelia, AmileiaKazeirassaida, or TheMartianGeek. Yes, despite my username, I am male...there's a story behind it. I am currently 19 years old and am a freshman at my local university. I consider myself kind of an intellectual; I have a deep love for learning/acquiring new information. Some of my favorite things to do besides hacking SMW are reading, playing and writing music, and writing stories and poetry (when I can). I really like classical music, gyros, cheesecake, and Donkey Kong Country 3, among other things. I've been ROM hacking for around 17 months now, and I have a couple of hacks planned (the main one will be a series), although I'm waiting to work on them until the next Lunar Magic and a certain other tool are released. Oh, yeah...I'm not fluent in any language but English. Typical lily-white North American.

I don't know what else to say. Stay tuned for the next installment in my bio, when I actually am non-busy enough to work on it.

----------------

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.

Hey Eldrak welcome to SMWCentral. I'm Blumiere and I make lame perverted jokes.

Also, I recommend you resize your avatar under 160 pixels wide. The limit we have is 150 pixels from left to right. I won't get rid of it at this moment since the levan polka (leekspin) is the most awesome thing ever, so this is more of a warning, I guess.

Well, raɪ-bĭs (in other words, "Rye-Biss") is how you pronounce it. Anyway, I suppose there's no harm in introducing myself in here as well.

I'm Raibys. I found this site as long ago as, I believe around late 2006, and used it quietly as a resource for hacking, but I was too shy to ever join the forums until May of 2007, originally under the name of "manaphy87." Ever since I joined I have visited the site dozens of times per day and have tried to be an active member of the community. In 2008 I became a local moderator, and a year later I was promoted to global moderator. I also moderate Hacks and ExGFX. I myself am making a crazy hack where the player's a buzzy beetle who scales walls and ceilings to move around, instead of jumping.

As the hesitancy I had in initially joining suggests, I'm actually a pretty shy person, even though I'm trying to work on that. I really love to draw, and have done so since I was a small child. I have a thread in the Art forum that I update every few days with new things I have drawn. I primarily draw my own original characters and things from the story in which I am writing them in.

As a staff member I do my very best to be of help to the site. Aside from just doing general forum moderation, I also moderate ExGFX on a regular basis, and I check the reviews section bi-daily and weed out all horrible 1-liner reviews and the like that are posted during the day. Along with the reviews, of course, I also moderate hacks when I have the time on my hands to do so.

I try to be as friendly a person as possible, and keep a good attitude. I have quite a few problems in real life that I deal with daily, but online I often appear as a very cheerful person when in reality it's tough sometimes for me to maintain this optimism.

All in all, after almost 3 1/2 years since I first found this site, I am very glad that I took the chance and decided to join the site in the first place. I've made many friends, have had a great time helping the site, and even fell in love with someone I met through this site. (No, I am not kidding) Whether this means I have no life or not is entirely your opinion to decide, but for me, it's been a blast here - and I would just as soon spend another 4 years here if that is possible. ^_^;

Ahh, someone who found out about SMW hacking the same way as me! Welcome Eldrak.
Well i am Dubefest (IRL Kyle) and I am relatively new, I guess. I am a semi-good hacker and currently I am working on a Vanilla with a Chocolatey-Top Hack called Super Fail World. Here are some of my goals here:

1. Get a Hack Accepted

2.Become a Staff Member

3. Become well-known here

Pretty small, right? But hey, I'm optimistic and single...alright that is awkward...(lol)

My Art Thanks to Counterfeit for the Layout!
Well, I never introduced myself when I first joined, so I may as well do it now:)

My name is PkmnSmwHacker(IRL Alex), but I prefer it to be shorted to PSH. I'm 14 and a music/ video game nut...I do have a life outside of these things, though. I haven't released any music or hacks, but at least that's something to look forward to.

I've been a member here since, I think, the summer of '09. I've lurked for a while and only now just started to post, because I'm sort of self-concious and shy. On to my SMW hacking history..I started hacking SMW long before I found this site, but my levels were terrible and linear. But since joining this site, I've got tons better, making really creative levels and such. I feel I am quite experienced with most forms of hacking bar ASM, which I am slowly beginning to learn. That's basically it, besides the fact that I prefer to make purely vanilla hacks.

I guess that's it. If you ever want to contact me you can PM me or find me on the IRC.
i never knew this thread existed :3 so i guess ill start,
i started hacking around the middle of 2009. i found out about this site because i got to curious about those kaizo hacks and started looking myself. due to all the time i spent here, even though i keep saying im not good enough, i probably could make an accepted hack if i tried, i mean i learned song insertion, song porting, inserting blocks, inserting, exgfx, hex editing, last thing i learned (most recently)sprite inserting, i feel i was learning everything in the wrong order -_- so pretending im new now, hi everyone :D

Xalnop here. Xal for short.
I'm brand new. I know nothing about anything, but I can read. I hope you will be friendly when I start to have questions, which will be soon I'm sure.

Levels Completed - ASMWCP Sand Castle of Doom
(My first ever "published" work)

Slowly working on, learning graphicals

Welcome to SMWC! :) You seem like a nice guy already.

Don't be afraid to ask questions - somebody's always willing to help.

Ok, first, welcome Eldrak. You seem to have a lot of potential.
Second, hi Xalnop. Enjoy our community and please read the rules (sorry if that was backseating moderator). Also, there's a Tutorials forum. Feel free to read them.
i just lurk sometimes

Hello everyone young, small, old, tall. I am CDPower as my username indicates. I recently started SMW hacking. I like SM64 and SMRPG hacking too. I am a girl, and I go to West Jessamine Middle. How is everyone? :)

Welcome CDPower. About the smiles, Kieran (the main coder of the site) made those as the smilies. Personally, I don't like them, but, some do. You don't have to use them.

Anyway, Welcome.
