I'm trying to help a friend with a project. She wants a little program to keep track of some Girl Scout information for her troop. It shouldn't be too complicated, but I think it's a little out of my ability.
Basically all it needs to do is have its own database that you can update by typing into fields. I did want unbound controls though because bound controls annoy me. I just wanted to know how to make an internal database that won't require any extra software.
Does anyone know of a program that does anything like this, or know how to put one together easily? I could use some help. Thanks!
I think Microsoft Exel is a chart thing.... try using that if u have itJust back here to browse a bit.
I have some visual Basic Knowledge, what do you need?I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
Use Microsoft Access, it is a database program afterall...
No I don't know how to use it.
What do you need in the information? I can make it.... wedid a project in school that was related to girl-scouts... =( and we used microsoft excelJust back here to browse a bit.
Either Excel or Access will work. Excel is easier to use, in my opinion, since I've never had a use for Access in my life. What you're describing, though, is something that you'd best use Access for, like Boing said.Your layout has been removed.
I don't want to use Excel or Access for it since there are some other minor things I want to use VB for.
For the basics I just want a VB program that has its own database and can modify it. Just a small little program with a portable database that doesn't require any other software, so she can use it anywhere.
Will Liberty Basic or C++ work? I have knowledge in both languages and I may be able to do it.Your layout has been removed.
