Locked Doors?

hello, how do you create a locked door in your hack.

ex: In order to get out of the room, mario must use a key on a door with a keyhole to unlock it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I guess most people use the "Teleport if Carrying Sprite" block (telecarry.asm) included with BTSD to get something like that in their projects.

Can you assign a specific sprite which must be used? Because with that I'd assume you could teleport even if you were carrying a P Switch or something...
Yeah, of course you can.

Just set the define (!SPRITETELE = $0F) to whichever sprite you want to have the block work with.
Now with extra girl and extra hacker


He is probably going to need to know what it is for the key.

And i am assuming ( unless there is already exgfx out there ( which there should be! )) he will need yy chr to make the locked door graphic

There are locked door blocks included with the original Blocktool, too. (They use free RAM, though...probably $0660; you'd have to check the .bin files in a hex editor.) You could also use this sprite.
