Final Fantasy 6 - Edgar/Sabin's Theme

Enjoy.

Hmm.. I see you re-did your old port. It's good, but I think that you should've changed the percussion (unless a timpani sample would be too much space to insert, considering the samples you've already used).. Also, could you add the tempo change that's in the original? I really like that .. Anyways, awesome job with this! It's hard to find the samples in FF6 SPCs! (For me, at least.. >_<)
I wish I could have gotten the crash cymbal in. I pretty much exhausted all of my sample space just to get those in.

Ah well. The port can live without it.
how does this sound to you people :D
this needs to be edited, i know that for a fact as it sounds all O_O near the part were it repeats. ill get to it when i get time.

I hope I don't go too harsh on this, but..
This port could use a LOT of work, honestly.. :(

Let's start with the tempo.

} The tempo is really, really, really, REALLY fast. Slow it down a bit, will 'ya? D:

} The @0 goes too high. I recommend you change it to an @2, because the @0 will most likely not sound that great if you move it down an octave..

} The @4 overpowers the @17 too much at times to the point where you can't even hear the @17.

} The @11/@1/@18 is too quiet. If it's already at v255, try lowering all the other instruments.

} The @13 is barely even there... You can faintly hear it if you 'try' to hear it. You don't want to 'try' to hear it. You 'want' to hear it. Make it louder or move it down an octave. That's what I say.

} Percussion? ;~; ....WAIT A SECOND. That @14... that's definitely the percussion.. It's really off-key if it really was playing bass line, and the note patterns sound more like a percussion channel. I recommend using @26, @10, and @29 for this channel, if you're remixing Dialga's Theme like this.

Final notes: If you already know that the loop is incorrect, personally, I think you should fix that before showing it off in this thread.. :\
It could use some work, but I think this port is very do-able. I'd like to see the final product for this port! :)
By the way, did you remix this? It sounds interesting! I would probably like the remixed MIDI, to be honest. :o That @17 on a low octave inspired me to port something else, now, though.. Hmm..

Sounds great for an epic boss fight or just anything epic!
Your layout has been removed.
Hmm.. I hope this sounds great to everyone. I intend to eventually sample this port. It could get nasty, due to how many samples this song uses.. I'm kinda scared to do it now.. :(

Kirby's Dream Land 3 - 'Grass Land 1'

Either way, I hope you guys like the unsampled version. :)
I ported music from Megaman.

That sounds extremely accurate in my opinion, man. I love the effects and the energy of this port. Kudos before you.

Hadron, it sounds only somewhat like the original tbh. It's amazing though =)
@ CrispyYoshi: those songs sound amazingly well done, I want to finish the KDL3 port I was working on a while back now after hearing these. The intro in the grassland one sounds a bit off, though.
I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
This is a repackaging of some optimized samples into a .bnk file, taken from ath_fami.bnk.

http://bin.smwcentral.net/9870/optimize.bnk

Free space in original: $0FD6 bytes
Free space in this one: $24B8 bytes

They pretty much sound the same, it's just the extensive (almost) silent bits at the end of the samples have been cut. This Audacity picture explains everything. Should be of use to anyone who is low on sample space since over 5000 bytes of free space are added with this.
Now that I figured out how to insert the song that uses that bank, I think I'll try changing the isntruments to actually work with that sometime.

Fantastic update. I suppose using the old $E5 command and the new $F3 command will be even more useful and efficient now, especially with a ton of free room to add samples to.

Thank you.
