Unless it's absolutely central to your gimmick (i.e., it's a required part of what makes your gimmick what it is), it shouldn't affect it. Here's my thinking: Things like teleport blocks when pipes or doors could also work would get you a lower ASMless bonus, while big ASM hacks that make the entire thing work would get none at all. It's actually kinda hard for me to definitively define what will and will not get you a good ASMless bonus, considering my definition of what gets it and the fact that if it's central to the gimmick, it won't get you any points at all...but I don't want it to be all-or-nothing. Because then what of the people who use a little ASM where they need to, but otherwise have a vanilla gimmick? Hmm... Well, in the meantime, let's settle for this: If you use ASM to get around a bug, glitch, what have you, for example, but the ASM isn't part of your main gimmick, it will not affect your ASMless bonus. Agreed? I see no point in punishing for such a thing, considering I had to do it for EVERY LEVEL MORTON!.

I have a question: What's with the No Sprite Limit patch? I mean, it only enables us to use a few more sprites, so how does it effect the "ASMless" bonus?

So does that mean I can apply the "Time Up fix" patch that stops the time up message from appearing in a level with no time limit? I want it to get as close to TMR as possible.
