Remove the dots.
The Mystery of the Volcano!
A mysterious volcano has been encountered by a group of Toadstools. The Toadstools did not hesitate and informed Mario and Princess Peach about this.

The problem with this volcano is that the volcano will burst out if Mario doesn't hurry up and reach it. But it's not just simply go to the volcano, you'll need to get in there as well and fight Bowser.
(The fact that Peach will be the one you save in the end, isn't actually true. Just ignore Peach, she isn't actually supposed to appear, since you must not save here. But she is implented in the Bowser battle)

Here are some screenshots and videos of my hack from what I've got so far.

Suggestions, critism, comments? Post them here.
I want to play this NSMB hack, it looks very fun.
If it weren't for the fact that DS Emus hate my computer, I'd go out of my way to play it when it's done.
Oh well, keep up the great work.

And make a damn userba- *shotshotshot*
hmm... interesting looking hack, Dadiro. I can't see anything wrong with it.

@Redtoonlink: try using no$gba if you are having problems. I don't have any sound or loading problems with this.
Looks very nice... unlike most NSMB hacks.
Very nice! Looking forward to TASing this! Keep up the good work!
Wow, very interesting concept Dadiro. I like it! :D

Anyways, the two levels look awesome, I don't see anything wrong as far as I can see. Good job and keep up the hard work!
Thanks guys, with 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 and 1-Tower finished, I started working on 1-4.

No enemies, I always add them when the main design is done.
Wow, this is really freakin' awesome!
Keep up the good work.
Thanks Kiseki, I appreciate that!

1-4 is done. I plan to eventually insert this music in the ROM for real.

Wow, it's nice to see an NSMB hack on SMWC. The levels looks pretty nice and I have no real complaints. Looking forward to playing this.

Nice work!
The level design is propably the best I've ever seen in a NSMB hack, but the level could use some decoration like bushes in my oppinion. Just a nitpick though. :P

Special World! Who expected that? :)
This world will be hard to access.
That special World level looks really special :D
That's why it's called Special World.
Cool rainbow graphics!
That looks really nice, I'll check the videos out later.

I've got a small question, excuse me for the slight off-topic: What emulator would you recommend to run NSMB on? I tried No$GBA and DeSmuME and both fail to run without lag and terrible sound.
DeSmuME probably works best for me, and it always has good sound, No$GBA gives the crappy sound effects.

In order to make DeSmuME run at full speed you'll need to set the frame skip to 1. To do this go to Config > Frame Skip > 1.

This should make the game run at full speed, the sound effects would play as they should.

Some enemies for that matter will make the game lag, these enemies could be Wigglers. It's mostly the 3D enemies which make the game lag, simply pass by them to stop the lag.

I hope this helped.

EDIT:

Thanks to Treeki for the tip of adding stars to the FG set. I didn't think of that.

How does it look?
The 1-1 and 1-4 look rather short to be honest, as if you cut them short. Then again, that might just be because you ran through them quite quickly. 1-Tower looks a bit difficult for being a first world level, and I noticed that at one point the block train forces mario into a 1 tile high space. This is fine if he's small, but what if the player has a powerup?

It looks good i guess but I'm not much of an authority on nsmb hacking.
1-1 and 1-4 is short, and I know the castle is hard. This is basically just a combination of easy and hard levels. I don't want it to be the same and boring linear levels as the original NSMB had to show.

The 1 tile high space thing has been taken care of a long time ago though.

Anyways:

I made a flagpole, it sure fits the rainbowy effect, doesn't it?
I also decided to get rid of the stars on the floor.
Double post is allowed now, so here I go.

5-1 [Special World] is done.

Also, YouTube officialy sucks now.
