Geez, people, no need to rub salt in the wound. At least I was a (relatively) good sport about it, right?

Well, you have to promote new hack mods sometime, right?

From my understanding, if they promote new hack mods to local moderator powers, there probably won't be a hack mod to replace them, and if there are, they'll come from the 5 backups.
I didn't become one but that's ok. It's probably better that I didn't become one anyway.
Wow, this is actually quite surprising! This is pleasant. Thank you guys for supporting me, and I will try my best as a moderator!

Edit: Well, sorry. I was in an incredible rush earlier, and I noticed this the minute I needed to go. Anyway, congratulations to everyone else who won. I'm pleasured to be working with you, and I hope we'll get along nicely!
I've kind of gotten over it now, but I'd still like to know why I wasn't considered for the position.

That is all.
hm, some people seem to think that this is a contest, and that people "won" and "lost", and that there are "ranks". No, this was just a selection process.

Sorta, just deal with the fact that you didn't get the job, no need to be a hassle, instead of querying when it'll happen again (likely never, 10 people is already an inordinately sufficient amount) and claiming that you weren't considered.

Yeah, as I said, I'm over it now. I'm just hoping my application isn't one of the aforementioned "blatantly shitty" ones.

Local mods CAN moderate hacks, so I doubt it.

There is no need to get upset if you didn't get chosen. It isn't the end of the world. We just took who we felt would do the job the best based off of what we have seen around the forums, and their apparent skill. Hell, we could be completely wrong and end up with a few duds - who knows?

Time will tell.

e: the "blatantly shitty" ones were the ones made by people who literally just came here and said "make me a hack mod because I can do well" with a terribly formatted post.
These decisions look decent to me, although I only know half the people who were chosen.

Anyway, congrats.
Good. Now someone can moderate my fucking hack after over a week!

It felt like a month to me. I kept checking the website just in vein that it was taken off. In the time that I was waiting, I managed to fix every little glitch wrong with my hack, insert edited sprites, took screenshots, and put in into a ZIP folder. I'm completely ready to send the fixed hack.
If you want to submit a fixed version you can always PM a hack moderator and tell him to remove the old version of your hack.

I though I'd at least be considered. :(

... oh, well. It's okay. :)

I'd like to know why I wasn't picked, though.

Zerio, it's not like they had minimal applications, there were probably about 120, and of those, probably 40 were above par, It'd take a whole lot of time and effort to explain. The applications weren't the only thing taken into consideration. SNN and Supertails probably took into account my behavior on IRC, and my previous and current projects and posts as an example. They could probably write a book on why people weren't picked.
So, approximately how long until we formally get our moderating powers? I already have about half a removal log typed up and ready...
