When's the last time you played the ORIGINAL SMW world??
First of all: SMW World? WTF :)
2:My mom originally had it and she gave it to me
3:I loved the game until I found this site
4: I remember how my mom would pwn my friends in ANY Mario game (on Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES)
Lastly: I played it last month when my friend came over (on the SNES, not an emulator)

Yeah, Super Mario World World, deluxe edition.

Also, I started playing when I was around five. My brother showed me it, and it was like an old friend.
I could never beat Yoshi's Island 4, though.
Oh, and a few years later, when I had the skill to get farther in the game, the ghost houses were too scary for me, and my brother beat them for me. XD

I got this game at the same time I got my SNES.

When I first played the game, I thought it was really fun and the Overworld made it more fun than the original Mario in my mind.
(However SMB3 was still better in my mind)

I don't really have fond memories other than the hours I played it as a kid. Thanks to that, I can now beat it the original in a couple of hours.

I can beat it in maybe half an hour. (I can't gauge the time accurately). There's a shortcut to Bowser's Keep from doughnut land. (Star Road)
This really belongs in the Gaming forum. :/

*moved*

Anyway, I believe the last time I played SMW was with a friend. We both had the same ROM on our PSPs and we were just passing the time in between classes.
I think the last time I played the original was sometime at T2's house after getting pissed off at Mega man 1

I can't remember playing nor getting the game for the first time, sometimes I think I was just born knowing all the games in Mario all stars+world from front to back.

also, I recall having a soft spot for the special world, especially Tubular.
The last time I played the original from start to finish was .. probably with my grandmother about 6 years ago. The sad thing is, I think she may have been better than me at it.

I can't even remember getting the game. I just .. had it at the age of 3, and managed to get to Roy's Castle on my own. If there is one thing I remember from that early in my life, it's falling off that platform, and getting killed by the spikes in Mystic Cave Zone Act 2 from Sonic 2.

Oh fuck I miss my childhood.

Sorry when I meant beat it, I meant complete it 100% going through every exit. The last time I did that was about a year ago for fun. (Forgot to answer the original question)
I last played through SMW start to finish about two years ago. I got a nostalgia kick to play it, and after I finished, I discovered SMW hacking. The rest is closely guarded, veiled history.
About a month or so ago, netplaying it with Jirachi.
A few years ago on the GBA, I pretty much beat the game in a few hours.
Good times.
The SNES version was probably around six years ago, I don't think I finished it as never owned the game. The GBA version was about three years ago, where I actually did complete the game and find all of the Yoshi coins.

A few days ago, trying to see the unique background of Funky when I didn't have access to a computer. Then I did the fast music berry glitch for lulz

Yesterday was the last time I played SMW. The last Time I beat all 96 levels was about 1 month before I discoverd LM. When I was 10 I played SMW all the time... Those were the days.

-----------------------

When I was six, my cousin showed me this awesome thing I'd never heard of before: a video game. It was called "Super Mario World", and you controlled this cool little guy called Mario who jumped on stuff and didn't afraid of anything. He let me play the first level, and after walking a bit to the right, I jumped directly into the Banzai Bill and got myself killed. At that moment, we had to go and do something; what it was, I don't remember, but that video game stuck in my mind. I just had to get one of those for myself. So, on my seventh birthday, I received a Nintendo 64 and the latest-and-greatest Mario game of the time, Super Mario 64.

-----------------------

As for when I last played it, I've sporadically played a few levels every now and then in Super Mario Advance 2, but the last time I actually fully played the SNES game was...you know, I don't remember.

Apart from that one moment as a child, SMA2 was the first version of SMW I actually played, and I remember it pretty fondly, beating the levels and exploring new areas. It's my least favorite of the "main series" Mario games, though, which I guess is sort of ironic.
1. Could of been last week, or something like that.
2. SMA2 came with my GBA, if that counts.
3. Cool, a Mario game, a simple thought.
4. I got 2 memories. The first was when I found the special world. The second was when my friend said “I have that game” and thinking multiplayer I said “bring it out and lets play,” then he grabbed a game cartridge the size of my GBA, and it bared the name Super Mario World. AKA the first time I saw the Super Nintendo.
My software never has bugs...it just develops random features.

Yeah, i always remember playing it with my mom, me and her would play it a lot when i was little, that and i would watch her play zelda LttP, she was BEAST at that game. She would always let me hit the switch palaces, it always made me really happy :) I'm not a huge fan of her anymore due to personal choices that she makes and an alcohol problem, but when ever i am feeling down about her i just think about the switch palace thing :)
