Helpful Diagrams

The diagram is kinda messed up anyways.

May I suggest putting the image of the cfg-file at the top and then the descriptions in a list below instead of randomly playing them across the image? Like this:

And then when reuploading it don't put spaces in the file name.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!

Probably not random, but pretty confusing. Took me a good while to find the information I needed on your diagram. Probably you could also work with different colors to make it easier to find certain information?

I can update it. I spent 5 minutes in GIMP making that. Boredom may encourage you, but the quality is lacking. with the fill tool I can color code the numbers with ease. Thanks for the suggestion.

Wait a minute...I thought the two extra property bytes were 08 and 09 in your diagram.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
Can someone make a diagram which show's the bush tiles and how they are placed?
Anime List
Manga List
D³ Releases: RL1, [RL2], [RL3], RiS
SMWHacking? I rest my case.
SMWCentral? I leave it to rest.

Hey what happened to most of the useful diagrams in the OP? They now appear as a little box with a red X compared to what they where? Some of the ones under that are still normal though. Did I miss something or is my internet wonkers. |-O
Not just you. The freewebs site they were hosted on might've been nuked.
Here's a good ol' diagram for a way you CAN use the blue 8x8 tiles

When you use binary as a level, nobody knows what level you are! *laughs manically*

You DO know that the "blue 8x8 tiles" are actually part of the pipe graphics, right?

Edit: Oh, and that idea fails.

"Making Better Use Of Palettes
discovered by smwedit and compiled by Buu-Huu"

the thing is, the right-down brown square IS used. the soft, pinky color is used by the on-off block. i bet some others are used too, but i don't know...

I might put some sort of signature here once. I guess.
Wrong. The on/off switch graphics can be found in GFX33, which is 3BPP. This means that it is impossible for it to use those colors.
However, it's true that the colors in palette 4 are used by the green berry, but those can be moved to palette 5 or something if you so desperatly need them.

ssaamm, you're better off ripping the pipe corners from Mario 3. That looks...kinda crappy.

But it works in vanilla hacks.

Actually, it doesn't work. There is very small cutoff because the corners of the pipes are rounded by one pixel (there's a tiny gap).
So?
It's just ONE pixel.
One pixel or sixteen, cut-off is still noticed quite easily, and it doesn't make it any more acceptable.

Edit: Whatever. I still dislike it personally. Cut-off = Cut-off.
--------> Don't follow "Find Roy's Dignity", my hack. Because it's pretty outdated. <--------
I have to disagree, cutoff in SMW would never be noticed, until people were trained by the Removal Log to notice those obscure cutoffs.
