Numerous level problems

1. In the first level, Mario just dies for no reason when he tries to run up the ledge. I checked, and there's nothing that could possibly harm Mario there. No banzai bills that are invisible, nothing. It worked before, but it won't now. :(

2. In my cave sub-level (one of the many exits in my other forest level), there's a bunch of random, ugly tiles in the BG. Somebody said to check the BG end/start settings, but I have no idea how to do that kind of stuff.

3. I can't find those tile eating things that go OMNOMNOMNOMNOM and eat the level.
1. I don't know about that one. Take a screenshot of LM?

2. You can change the BG initial settings by clicking on the button on the top of LM that looks like a door with a 2 on it. There'll be a drop down box that says "Layer 1,2 (FG,BG) Initial Position." Play with the BG settings until the mess in the BG is fixed.

3. I think you're talking about the Creating/Eating blocks. Those are in the standard sprites list, although, I have no idea how they work.
For 3., the value for them in the Standard Sprites is B1. To my knowledge, you can only change the creating paths with ASM, and the eating blocks will follow a line of blocks or typically any tile for that matter and destroy it along the way. I'm not sure as to which block it prioritizes when it meets two blocks; I'll tell you if I find out anything more. Also, do not place a block underneath the starting point of an eating block path.
For #1... did you do any edits to that level at all? If not, very odd glitch. I'd suggest just boxing him in something so he doesn't die, then either making your own title screen movie, or porting to a new rom.

I think I had this problem once when I used the ramp. I thought it was because Layer 2 was editable in the selected level and it was interactive, so I used a climbing net instead. I'm not sure if this helps, though.
Your layout has been removed.

If It's a vertical level, try NOT to use slopes of any kind (unless they are the vertical level compatible slopes you can find in the extended objects category of LM)

I think you mean the background glitches when you enter or exit a level?
One solution to this is to fiddle with The entrace settings (find the entrances editor dialouge, and fiddle with the Numbers in the dropdown menu!)

This has been answered... sprite b1 I think.

Notte Luminosa Progress:

Click here to download It! :D
Mario may also die if he runs up a slope directly into a ceiling, getting "crushed".

He could be talking about the custom sprite YoshiCookieZeus made in question 3. It can be found in the custom sprite section of the site.

EDIT: Mini Chomp Shark
1. First of all, by first level, I meant Yoshi's Island 1. Second, the diagonal platforms in the level mysteriously started acting like munchers (although they weren't). So, I removed them and replaced them, and it made the level look more original if anything. Also, the big red castle door was a muncher, too. I think it had something to do with me adding some lava seeweed and stuff to the 16x16 editor...

2. No, the BG is just a bunch of random tiles. Most of them are yellow.

3. Thanks! I'll check out those later!

4. How do I change the title? Also, how do I change the movie?
4.) Refer to here for an explanation on how to do those. I can also explain how you'd make your own custom title screen words, such as changing them from "Super Mario World" to, well, LieutenantPie World or something if you want.
Odd tile errors and you've been messing with MAP16? Do not mess with pages 0 and 1. I suggest importing a fresh copy of these pages from a clean rom.

I already fixed all of the problems, except for the BG in my vertical cave level.

This, change the vertical BG scroll speed (fish button) to slow/none, or patch this.
