General Mario Games Thread

Wait, Woah... I mean, games need to get harder, bbut comparing a game to the lost levels is just scary. Especially if you say it's going to be HARDER.
Our world will stop advancing once humans manage to create sufficient magnificence for a whole lifetime. Until then, I just create.

Well, that's why there's a super guide!
If the newly added image in my signature didn't convince you that the game is going to rock, then CLICK THIS NOW!! WHERE’S MY PULSE???

Yeah, I saw this before, and it looks pretty cool! We finally see all 7 Koopalings plus Bowser Jr., even if the in-game picture is a little small. I'm also surprised to see that the Clown Car is returning.

Those new level shots look interesting as well. I like the rotating mushroom blocks, the corkscrew mushroom, and the falling icicle platforms. This is looking even more to be a very fun game!
YAY! Doomships! Seriously Guys, from what I've seen so far...this game is going to own SMB3 and SMW ^_^
Flying ships and koopalings and the clown car and bowser Jr. in the same game?
Confusing plotline...
i think that my favorite part, that this game will have is Yoshi
Yoshi is my favorite in mario games and getting to ride yoshi in the NSMBW is gonna be awesome.
Woah, there's even a picture of the worldmap. It would seem they added some sort of mushroom houses, as well as peach's castle.

Really! That game looks like it has every features from every past platformer games!

Spinjump? Walljump? Yoshi? Toad houses? Alternate exits? Very difficult (and that has to be from lost levels...)? And they added multiplier!

There's so much potential to this game!

Also, if anybody's interested, there are a couple of new videos here.
I saw even more SMW enemies in those trailors! Thanks for the heads up!
The Koopalings are truly back.

Wow, they even brought back the POW block from SMB2. I have o say that this game is probably going o be one of the best games of 2009/2010. I'm really happy they raised the difficulty level. No more beating Mario games in 1 hour! (Or in SMW's case, 20 minutes). While I'm happy they brought back the kooplings, I just hope they're all unique batles, not just 1 of them.

Looks like a lot of randomness is going on in those levels. I hope there's not TOO random. It still seems easy to produce massive amount of 1ups though... I would enjoy looking at a hard level.

To be honest, a lot of what I've seen so far is mixed. There have been some really neat things, such as the return of the Koopalings and the 4-player component, and somewhat disappointing aspects, such as the bulk of the music simply being remixes from NSMB and a lack of characters apart from Mario, Luigi and Toads. (as far as we know at least) Still, I'm looking forward to this one, but approaching it with a bit of caution. We'll see what the reviewers say.
Im surprised that no one mentioned something from the main trailer.
If you watch it through we know that star coins are back but if you look near where the game shows how many satr coins you have collected in the level you will see alittle music note, whats that for?
The Star Coins can be used to unlock Hint Movies, which is like the Super Guide, only it shows more advanced tricks that the player can try (especially with the co-op gameplay). For instance, there's a movie where Luigi kills enemies for 1-Ups by getting repeatedly slurped up by the other players' Yoshis.

It's kinda like this Super Mario Galaxy video, for instance.

I am ecstatic that Nintendo is finally making a challenging Mario game.

This is definitely going to be worth it when it comes out. Then again the only people I can think of that would want to play this with me is a few of my cousins and possibly my sister, since she wants to get this game too. Then again, our assumptions are based on one article and some rumors flying around the internet, so ... we'll see.
I've seen the videos and they totally convinced me. Everything looks so great, so new... I'll get it for sure.

Besides, I've seen how complex some of these NSMB Wii levels are, and finding ways to allow players to conveniently manipulate the complicated aspects of these levels would be very difficult, to say the least.

Some people are to dumb to hack. Like myself :/

Im good at hacking. Easy. :/
