I did try that, but small mario uses two frames of walking animation, and my mario GFX is only compatible if he is super, with 3 frames of walking animation.

Why aren't we allowd to make GFX requests for a yoshi replacement?
I had this idea of having yoshi as the player for one level (using mario exgfx patch),
And yoshi is replaced by a mario version of yoshi, sort of based off of the picture from "mario partners in time" where you see mario and luigi carrying the babies on their backs.



Although when my request attempt was denied, I was told that I can't make PLAYER graphics request, and yoshi I don't believe is a player. It may have been my wording?

How do I scroll vertically only?

I fiddle around with the auto scroll features, but all of them eventually start to scroll northeast, any way I can fix that?

I want it to just scroll to the right.

There is a sprite that can make your levels scroll vertically now. Check the Sprites section, it's near the top of the list.

I want to scroll horizontal only, but sooner or later, the level starts to scroll vertically. I just want it to scroll east.

No that's not what I wanted. I already have those yoshi player graphics. I have both right now because one is glitchy

What I want is to replace the actual yoshi SPRITE graphics, to look like mario.

With Yoshi as the PLAYER and Mario as the SPRITE. You cannot play as a sprite.

So basically whenever you see a yoshi egg, mario would pop out of it.

And since you play as yoshi, you'd be a yoshi character sitting on top of Mario.

And the Mario graphics could be based off of the partners in time picture I posted.

Anyone know how to get it to scroll just east? Sooner or later my level starts to scroll upwards.
Use the Slow or Medium Auto-Scroll commands, and set vertical scrolling to "None." Don't use the Auto-Scroll Special commands if you want just plain horizontal scrolling to the right, and don't use the Fast Auto-Scroll command, as it goes...really fast, so fast that it will kill you when you take the goal.

Find those as sprite F3 in Special Commands and Generators.
The Y-Position determines if it's Slow, Medium, or Fast.
Don't use fast!

Your layout has been removed.
The autoscroll is sprite F3 in the "Special Commands and Generators" section of the Insert Sprites GUI. You'll just need to place it either at the very top of the level or one space below to get it to work at the right speed.

Anyone awnser this?

Also yes I know you counldn't make mario pop out of it exactly. it'd have to be custom gfx for you to sit on him without it looking glitchy. I know how the tiles work.

Okay, so I wanted to use a sepeate graphics file for each submap.

I copied GFX1E, renamed it ExGFX89, inserted it into the Exgraphics folder and sucessfully inserted it into the rom.

Then I went and changed Forest of Illusion's FG4 graphics from 1E to 89, saved, and ran it in an emulator.

However, no matter if I start a new game on Forset of Illusion or get to it with a pipe, warp star or exit tile, the colors on FG4 looks messed up.
I've also tried beating a level in Forest of Illusion, but still, nothing happens when I return to the map.

Please help.

Is it possible to display the credits after beating a "normal"-exit(without fighting Bowser or other bosses)?

I tried to change the boss-sequence-level "End Game Sequence" to my last level, but it doesn't work... Is it even possible?

The only way that works, Luigisopa, is if you beat the level by defeating a boss, or using a custom sprite, which I think is the "end level when all sprites are off-screen" sprite.
Thank you Jayfeather!... Seems like I have no choice and bother with custom sprites... oh well.

Did you start a new file when testing it?
