Recently I've found my gamepad I've been looking for quite a while now. It is to be connected to a gameport, but my PC doesn't have any. Then I realized that I also had a gameport-to-USB connector. It came with the gamepad package. So I've connected this to an USB port. But the problem is: Windows XP doesn't want to recognize this gamepad for whatever reason.
The gamepad I am using is Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad
If these are related:
My OS is Windows XP professional
I am using Service Pack 3
I also don't remember if this thing had a driver or not. This gamepad worked perfectly on Windows ME. But it refuses to work here. So how can I make XP recognize (and use) this gamepad?
Any help is appreciated.
My blog. I could post stuff now and then
My Assembly for the SNES tutorial (it's actually finished now!)
