How do you relocate bosses?

Yes, do what Thundahack said. Copy properties IN the piranha room, not out side it ._.
I don't have a new Piranha room, as I can't make sewer levels, I'm just using the old one.
You mean you put a screen exit to the original Piranha room, not making a new one in another castle's boss room? Then I'm not sure what's causing the purple squares...

OK! Copy the properties from 3-8 boss room to 1-8 boss room. See if that rids of most boxes.

Parameters for the SPC. Simply saying, the music number.

The short tables are 1 byte each, the long ones are 2 bytes each, respectively.
Since 1-8 is the second boss level and 3-8 is the sixth boss level in the game, swapping the parameters with a hex editor makes it work properly. I coloured the values you have to swap.
Although, changing the palette value is unnecessary so you don't have to, but you can modify them to the colours you like as well.

Please first back up your ROM. I cannot be responsible at all for accidental mistakes or something.
I relocated Salvo The Slime to my 1-4 (Salvo's Ebony Castle), but I want only the mid-boss and not the final-boss music. Also I don't want that Yoshi unlocks the "door". Is there any way to do that for mere mortals or is it the best to let the x-8 bosses x-8 bosses and the x-4 bosses x-4 bosses?

As far as I know, no, you must keep x-8 bosses as final bosses for each world and x-4 bosses the mid-boss for each world.
A pity...
But, OK then I will use Milde for this castle, but I have to redocorate the castle; I have to swap the Lemon Drops (small Salvo) with Mildes...

Hey I've had an idea. You could use Tap-Tap for an X8 level, have him in a scrolling room, and use that thing SNN used in the boss for "Rocky Castle of Chance..."Free counters!
The only bosses that I found glitchy were Raphael, Burt the Bashful, Hookbill, and Prince Froggy. And the bosses that had pallete problems were Raphael, Tap-tap, and Marching Midle :(
