That looks much better now, Andy. It definitely seems like a tense battle now.
And I thought that boss fight couldn't get any better, nice work andy.

The Mario Bros. finally make it to Berry Castle on Yoshi Island, but it seems to be cursed and full of enemies. Who is really behind the attack on Yoshi Island?

I am really liking that custom palette you are using for the foreground there, as well, Andy. The colors you are using for the fake gradient effect in the background are also pretty smooth, and they sure go well with the actual FG colors and stuff. Nice use of the dynamic YI sprites there, too - I really liked the way you changed the needlenose bomb graphics to something more fitting to the SMAS-ish aura of your hack. :3

Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing more updates from this hack! ^-^

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

Undeniably awesome palette indeed. The BG and FG really compliment each other very well in those screens.

I really like your palette choice for the YI castle tileset andy. It would have been nice to see a palette like that in Yoshi's Island itself. Nice background transition as well.

Might I suggest using one of those multi-colored stone blocks (or even the plain gray ones) from YI in place of the little floating block you have over the water? I've never really liked the 'single 16x16' castle blocks before.

Good stuff other than that.

Good stuff, Andy. I'm glad to see you were finally able to use the tool to spice up your hack even more. The interactions between these characters seem quite entertaining. It's always fun to watch the villainous characters interact with each other. :)
I just love how your hack is so well-polished looking. I am sure those new cutscenes will give a new twist to the hack too!
My blog. I could post stuff now and then

My Assembly for the SNES tutorial (it's actually finished now!)

Same here, however, if there any way yet you can change up the character graphics and name format to something less like SMW2+3? To give your game more of a unique flair, basically.

Though it's understandable if there isn't a fitting way to do so yet.

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Yeah, I really have to thank you for making that tool available. It's revolutionary. And yeah, the villains are always lots of fun.

Thanks Ersan - I'm hoping the vwf cutscenes will help add that touch of RPG flavor that I'd been wanting in my game.

Yeah, at this point there's only so much that can be done with sprite graphics and lettering. It's really the content that makes these cutscenes what they are. Also, I'm using mostly ripped graphics, so I can't really help if they resemble SMW 2+3. In any event, as time goes on, I'm sure I'll look into using a different font. This one's nice but it's very SQUAREish.

WOow, you have a nice hack. Looks cool, and YI was my favorite game as a kid. Now, are you looking for playtesters? ;D
This is what I call a great hack.
All the graphics fits each others, there is no clash and the cutscenes just win.
Im waiting for the final version :D

Your hack looks really great, Andy. The graphics are nice, I like that Bowser battle, and it's nice to see more people using that awesome cutscene tool from SMW2+3!
Good fucking bye.

Not a huge update, but I added Mildes and Mini-Ravens to my levels on Yo'ster Island to give them even more of a YI feel. I've been having fun redoing these levels in a more YI-style, but I'm eager to move onto something else.

I really like palettes and overall stuff! This hack seems really polished and i really don't see any bugs via screenshots! The only thing i am really not fond is the Yoshi head coin whatever it is. So, since sometimes i get stuck working with my hack and out of boredom i drew this:

Can you tell me if it doesn't fit with the style or you don't like it?
I am trying to help you with graphics, not to be a bit intrusive =/
