Shucks, thanks for the rhyme. As for the new SPM song, hooray. It looks like different chunks of the song span across all 14 channels, which kind of sucks. Oh well, we're all waiting for Castle Bleck and others anyway, heh.

As for the SMB2 underground comments .. I was basing it off of the All-Stars speed since I have never played the NES version (Doki Doki Panic?) Most people can slow it down, and if they can't, it's their loss.

I don't know what Aiyo is talking about, because I haven't even started on Green Greens yet. I had planned on finishing your Rail Lifts (50% or so done) and then doing that one. The yellow requests are kind of on hold now, to tell the truth - I'm kind of all over the place with everything.

EDIT: Another random song for fun - Toad Town from Partners in Time. It turned out very good in my opinion.

Finished my third song today and it easily my hardest one so far. I used all 8 channels to make this.

It's Scrap Brain Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog. Just about all the MIDIs were 13 channels long but I managed to bring it down to 8.

Fixed the castle theme thing.

And at long last, MrCheeze's request is done. It took forever, and finally required trimming a 16-channel MIDI down to 8. It doesn't sound perfect, but it turned out very well considering the situation I was in. I know the loop sounds a tiny, tiny bit off .. but it shouldn't be too abrupt.

I have to ask, are you guys crediting the authors for the original midis? People generally get pissed when others use their work without any notification or mention of them, so, I just thought I'd give a heads up. :p

....what are you talking about? Most of these people are making the song here are making the songs. Also if they wanted credit, it would have been stated by them. Also unless song is their own personal creation ( like Nemo Mushroom Forest) then they can not take too much credit. It was made by nintendo then just converted by these people..

As for the citing, no, we haven't. And really, who is going to be able to tell what MIDI was used, since they all convert to sound the same anyway. Worst case scenario, if someone comes and somehow manages to find out, then I was never here and you are all to blame Tatrion :D

I have a question. If you insert songs that are 2kb-w/e kb, will you not be able to put more songs in? Like you can only have 20-2A because you have huge songs?
I'm not really understanding your question - are you referring to my songs in general being huge? Because I don't think I've made one over 5 KB .. and even up to 5 KB should insert fine. If you start inserting songs that are 6 KB + however, every track, starting from 3F downwards will gradually lose bytes for insertion and start cutting off tracks.

What I'm trying to say is, can you have actually fill all 20-3F with songs? or can you have songs that are too big or something and can only go up to like 2A or something?
Re-added delmaru. I'll be doing yours soon then.

Aiyo: If all of your songs are under 6 KB, they will go up to 3F without any conflict. If you insert big songs you can only insert up to a certain point. It depends how big though - if each song is 7 KB, you should be able to insert up to 3B or so, but if you have a bunch of 15 KB songs, you will only be able to insert up to 2Cish

No, I can assure you, they'd expect you to email them first, or at leave give credit if you didn't. The FAQ even says to.

Those were not conversions; conversions are entirely banned from VGmusic. Those midis were 100% sequenced by the midi authors, and for spending those two or three hours sequencing a midi by hand, they do take some credit. If you're making detailed SMW sprites of Mario completely on your own, you don't just lose all the credit because Nintendo thought of it first.

Well, I am a sequencer from VGMusic, and since you guys have been stating which midis you're editing, I could very easily report you if I wanted to. =P
