The FG uses FG3. The BG itself is too big to fit into SMW in any level with or without a FG, without doing what I did.
You used both Super GFX Bypass and Bypass Standard FG/BG list?
I'm a rubberducky in the shape of a 2 ain't life grand!
Looking forward to NSMBWii, SMG2, Pokèmon HG/SS, Mario Forever 4.4 and Gran Turismo 5
Currently playing:
Mario Forever Advance, Mario Kart Wii, TSRPR
You used ExAnimation? That's the only answer to a 4 ExGFX BG... I think.

... He probably added some 8x8 BG tiles, along with 8x8 FG tiles.
smwedit, you wrote another value to register, $210B or something? And then, you changed VRAM for BG2?
Here's my visual VRAM map of that level:

I shrunk BG1's tilemap to 256x256 and moved it to take up the last 4 rows of sprite GFX. In it's original space, I put 2 extra GFX files. I don't even need a map16 page for the BG. This is all done by a custom block that executes on the first frame.
Nice, even I don't understand it. ^^
So, you rewrote the value to $2108? Thank you for explaning. I could understand easily.

I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
@Smwedit
*jaw drops* GREAT WORK DUDE!! Those look to real and too good to be true. It must have been hard to put that in.

Like that Moon. It has the same size of Planet Zebes.

More puzzling fun in the forest, with two new concepts introduced in this level.

I really like the concept of your level. The back ground and the tiles from super metroid match.
But you use the tiles badly.
Now I'm not sure what tiles you have added from super metroid. But some looks wrong. I know that there are beter tiles in super metroid.

1. The solid ground in between. The super metroid tile is not that one. You have used a back ground tile.

2. The corner when the ground goes from left/right to up/down is wrong.

3. The ground tile under doors and stuff liket that should not have any see through so add a new block but with dark color instead of see through.

4. The ground under the grass. It is not really wrong, But it looks a bit funky. I would not do it that way but it is your hack.

Sorry for being a pain in the ass but that's what I think.
Just replace those "rocks" (inside the ground in the upper half of the level) with the dark tiles that have a few dots on it and it will look better. -.-

greenkirby: If you play through Crateria, you will notice that the things that you circled (below grass) actually are that way (not always, though).

Also, since it isn`t Super Metroid, I don`t see any problem if the tiles are used the "wrong way".

It took me about 4 hours for the BG (all the remapping of the 8x8s and all the ASM and stuff) and 30 minutes for the FG. I am going to have more BGs I have to do this to in my hack, but this is the first time I ever actually did this for a hack.

I think I have AN IDEA of what you did. But since I don't know a lot about SNES' VRAM, can you please post a visual VRAM map of a normal SMW level?

You just gave me an idea on how to add more decorations to my YI GFX.
Just to show this is still being worked on:

Heavy SMB3 influence here. I don't really care what people say about SMAS graphics being overused. They're good graphics and that's why everyone uses them.
Status bar changes as well. It's all white because I'm dumb and have backgrounds using palettes 0 and 1 in some cases, not 2 and 3 like I have other places.
firephoenix
it looks great
are you still working on your other hack?
Retry of OW.

What about it?
It looks a bit too, eh, uniform in the forest. Mix it up a little.

Slopes look better when the aren't vertical, or else you'll get complaints about the perspective.
