Review who's?

I finished pipefreak's/cute kaizo muncher's Mountain Grounds. Here's the Word Doc. I'm sorry, as your level wasn't really of the quality the hack mods and the members of SMWC is looking for.

Now for I8Strudel's 3 Trials.
Then Dylan Yoshi's A Castle.
Then Darkrai's Triple Terror.
Then Yellowfang/Sock's Stormy Cavern.
Then metalgearhunter's Variatic Madness.

you coould maybe check some of my skills, like in the VID and SCR. thread 3.0. look at page 80.
... So, when will the offical results come? V_v
Well, probably when FP has free time.
I finished I8Strudel's 3 Trials. Here's the Word Doc. Whew, that was a long level!

Now for Dylan Yoshi's A Castle.
Then Darkrai's Triple Terror.
Then Yellowfang/Sock/Hermione's Stormy Cavern.

Might as well let all of you know whats going on. Due to stuff in real life, FirePhoenix stepped down and asked someone else to finish the voting. I volunteered to finish, but I had no idea that I would be struck with so much work due to school. I'm in my last semester of high school, and I've really been pushing myself to pull my grades up so I pass with high marks. Nothing is worse than leaving high school with poor grades...really doesn't help you when you apply for college.

I have gotten a few levels done...and I'll try to get some more done after work. I just have so much going on right now....I have been asked to beta test 3 hacks, I have these levels to finish up, I try to pull some weight as a hack moderator, and I have two hacks I need to be faithful to. I'm not going to step down from this...just to let you all know. Just...don't expect a set time for me to be done. I'll do my best as long as my life permits me to do so. And no, this isn't an excuse. It's merely an explanation on why the results are being delayed.
Are you gonna at least be finished by the end of this year? Or should we just like completely forget this contest ever took place?
Check out my profile for awesomeness!
Well that's just prime, super, and any other sarcastic adjective you can name. I understand where you guys are coming from with the delays but... well...

This is an official contest being taken care fo by staff members, I would hope/expect for more professional handling of this. Not that I wanna pull you all away from your "real" lives, but if something's "official" is shouldn't be on the back burner.
I made a standalone game once, look for Seabug Stampede on Google Play.
C'mon guys... yes, its been longer than expected. A lot longer. But give them some slack. Things happen. Furthermore, the number of exits for this contest is probably double (if not more) the number from last contest. Being expected to go through and play all those levels and find all those exits in a short time would be tough, let alone the careful consideration that goes into judging them.

Really, the "board 2" level design contest last year had the judging portion longer than the submission portion... and they only had TEN levels (and some... interesting judges).
Go ahead and say what you will, but it won't make me finish this any faster...and that's a promise. Everyone has lives...some more than others. Getting all worked up over this shows how ignorant you are. And I don't know when this will be finished. I said I am doing my best, yet I got quite a negative response at first. But...it doesn't bother me one bit, as I expected as much. Although this is indeed the "official" level design contest, staff members have obligations for other things as well. It's not like FirePhoenix or I anticipated ourselves to become ridiculously busy. Also, the sarcasm is real mature guys. You have to remember that we are human beings too...and we don't live in front of our computers. Many of the staff members are close to college age and above...so we have just as much right to focus on school/work as anyone else.

So, just chill out and sit tight. The results WILL come. Besides...it's not like you win a monetary prize for winning...just a trophy in your profile (maybe) and ego++.
Yeah, this sort of response is getting out of hand. If so many people are going to complain about how long it's taking to get the results, then it doesn't make us want to continue holding contests in the future.

Foursword4 and FirePhoenix both do a great job in terms of providing detailed reviews/reports. Once the entries come in, I think that you'll be pleased to see them, even if your actual level didn't score as highly as you hoped.
I'll honestly take all the flak for the complaints, I am the only one making them as far as I can see. Sorry if I, erm, bothered (maybe offended?) anyone who's working on this. But I'm just rather picky about delays.

If anyone wants to discuss this issue via PMs, I've got some time. I'll try not to bring it up in the thread again :/

Alright .. I did not want to have to say anything here, but I guess I have no choice.

At the time of the overworld contest, FP asked if he could take a stand and run this contest. I was a bit nervous to have two contests at once, but I agreed anyway. It looks like everything went smoothly, until I recently heard that FP was having school troubles and could not finish the judging. I was also a bit disappointed that FS4 was forced to pick it up, as I know he is very busy with life too, and this is one thing he did not need to be burdened with (not to mention he also entered a level in this contest which would have to be disqualified).

Now, I am quite pissed off that I have to do this, but I am going to kick FS4 off of the judging and do it myself. He should not have had to do this in the first place anyway - it should have been the one who volunteered to do the contest. I'm sure you guys will not mind me doing this, as I have judged pretty much every other contest on the site, and I know what I am talking about.

Of course, if I do this, you'll have to bear with me for a little bit, as I'll have to get everything downloaded and such, and it could take a while to get reoriented.

That's my two cents. Feel free to drop your thoughts.
Whoever.
<-- this is the dope on dope
I was wondering what was taking so long...but oh well. I just wonder how badly I did. I didn't think my entry sucked so much until Ultimaximus pointed out how many things I'd screwed up in it. Ugh...the name "Failure of an Epic" was supposed to be a pun, not a prophecy!

----------------

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
I just point at my level and say "that can´t get a good rating"

@FS4: I think it´s really good that you actually care about school and stuff, so you really shouldn´t be here and waste your time judging some levels.

@SNN: Are you sure that you want to go through my level, trying to find all the exits? I suggest that you look in Lunar Magic if you can´t find every exit after 15 minutes if you´re going to go through that.

@imamelia: Guess what! I made a lot of wrong design decisions and that pisses me off! I could´ve made such an awesome level, but what was I doing? I tried to make a level with as many exits as possible.
Result: pain and frustration, for me and those who play it and there are boring rooms and some places, where I needed a room but had no time to make one, and, ARGH!!! DX

Man, I will definitely post a remake of my level ;)
so yeah, hoho

Look guys, when I started the contest there was no way that I was going to know how bad my life would turn a month later. Life real happens. Real life takes priority. Therefore I had to stop and focus on real life. Life is still not back to normal. So I apologize to FS4 and I definitely apologize to SNN, whom I did not know was going to pick up the remains of this.

SNN, if you want, you only need play the ones that have not been finished yet. I sent FS4 my list of judgments and he was going to pickup from there. Unless you really want to go through with all 60+ levels, I suggest getting the judging file from him and starting where he stopped.

And board 2 is related to this in what way?

And you don't need to be a generic ass to members when we are asking questions on some thing that is late. I would rather not have a contest then never getting a result.

Not to sound like I suck up, but this is the best thing for this contest as we at least know you get things done.

What pisses me off the most is the fact that I even asked at the start of this contest if I could help judging rather then making a level for it. Sure we all know you guys hate me, but that's not the point, but you guys don't need to run judging all staff team you know.
