The Hard Level Compilation: ReReborn

Kaizo

Excellent job. The brown is a little bit of an ugly color, but otherwise it is good. However, are all the level tiles going to be red? My ambiance sprite only works on the tiles such as the ghost house, switch, castle, etc.

I feel kinda self-centered, my stuff, me,me,me.. but it is kinda nessicary to know.
The main problem regarding THAT, I think, Maxx, is that I don't think unknown knows exactly what all the levels are, so it's hard to predict how many castles, ghost houses, etc we need.

Erm.. actually; I KINDA do, since I.. played through some of your guy's levels. The thing is, I don't know how many types there are exactly.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Maxx; I plan for the airship to be placed on the level tile top-left of Mario.
i like the light and dark grey idea. make it look kind of off-putting pallette wise
Does this shade of gray look good?

I liked it much better as green, but if you keep it that way please change the green paths to something else.

I know; just wanted to see if the gray was a good idea.
Looks great, but the trees are ugly, and the rivers don't look good next to the land. Change the shade of blue.

Personally I think the top left style is great, and the other is a bit too dark IMO. And I agree the trees don't look great and are hard to see, but it's better than how it started that's for sure.

EDIT: Would it be possible to have the "hardest level before the final one" to be over the gate to the bridge there, and to have the epic "going into Bowsers Valley Event Theme" (or something else) just as a way to say, "Well done for doing that level, here's the path to a harder one."

Not blue.
yeah the grey and green match really well.

i'd make the right side a light grey though.
Am I the only one that prefered the 'sunshine happyness' palette?

I liked it a lot more by a lot, and I loved how it clashed with the content. I loved how ironic it was.
I'm partial to Raocow on this one.

Unknown: Coolio. It should be active when the bridge is complete, yes?
i did too but if you're going to make everything look EEEEEEEEEEEEVIL you'd best go all the way.

none of this oh it looks like it's 7 P.M this means this must be a very difficult game nonsense

I liked the OW too but I don't think it would really fit the theme. (However, what I'd do for evil IMO would probably be to make land like an evil color like red or purple or something. Like in your face evilness.)

But I guess we could have super happiness palette delxue as the finish special world palette that could appear after the final level.
(The level before Jesus' Suicidal one)

Not blue.
that would actually be a pretty funny idea.
Who says that the colors of the overworld necessarily have to match the hard levels? I personally liked the old palette not because of irony but because it looked nice.
I tried to use alternate colors for an "evil" sense, and I think I might've gotten it.

If you don't like it or want to go back to the original palette, tell meh.
i dig it. go back to the original pallette for special world passed maybe?
I wonder what it would cost me to get a go at whipping up some cool palette for the overworld...
