Science Geek Romance

This is a poem I wrote two years ago.

Roses are a lustrous red,
Methylene dye is blue,
C12H22O11 is sweet,
And darling, so are you.
I think that I'm in love with you,
For just a brief, clear sight
Of you makes my skeleton seem to lose
All its hydroxyapatite.
Every time I look at you
Through my plastic safety glasses,
My cerebral cortex seems
To go quickly into stasis.
My love for you burns as hot
As cesium aflame;
Its half-life is years greater
Than exponents could name.
If scientists designed a clone
That was perfect in every way,
They would need no engineering
If they used your DNA.
I would like to take you out
One neutron-starlit night
To have a romantic dinner
By Bunsen-burner-light.
I'd put on my best lab coat
And my aromatic hydrocarbon cologne,
And there we'd sit enamorate,
Just you and me alone.
We'd talk of chemistry and physics,
Until the break of day
When energy from Earth's sun comes
From 93 million miles away.
My love, if you were one atom
And another one was I,
My covalent bond with you
Would never break, though we may die.
Our vital compounds may decompose
When the carbon cycle takes them away
To reuse many other atoms,
But together you and I would stay.
Your kingdom, phylum, class and order,
Species, genus, and family
All spell out Homo sapiens, and you
Are just the right organism for me.

*I know C12H22O11 is supposed to have subscripts, but I don't know how to make them in a post.
*I know "stasis" is normally pronounced with a long a sound, but at the time, I couldn't think of a better rhyme.
*No, this isn't addressed to a specific person.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
My God, this is great! Not that I'd ever use it...

Thank you for the layout, Erik557.
Man, I wish this would've worked. Oh well.
If not for respect, but dramatic effect, take on the face of Guy Fawkes.
LOL! Really good and funny poem! Mainly at the beginning. Awesome job!
I would say win, but I was beaten to it. By about four people.
