Mario's Keytastrophe - Demo 2! (updated again)

Link Thread Closed

Standard

At long last, it's here. I'll cut right to the point though:

Features:

-An epic tale of action, romance, and mystery
-Music, all completely composed by me, except the underwater theme
-Stylish graphics
-ASM tomfoolery, with some levels similar to that of a Paper Mario game (puzzle-oriented)
-And other junk.

I'm not going to say much in this thread, as I want to leave it for feedback and comments. I will point out a few things though, in case people don't read the Read Me

-I removed LevelNames from the top, since the music and them didn't go well together. No biggie.
-Trumpeteer Cliffs are Clarinet SnowWood aren't done. They are going to be used with the third world
-For now, the cave and snow levels use the boss and Legato theme.

Here is the link to the hack. Everything else you need to know is there - screenshots, the story, and the download. I'm not going to say anything else in this thread - those who play it will find out the many wonders of it themselves >_>

Hope you all enjoy it - it's been a long, tiring journey to the end of the second world, so let's see if that work paid off.
We all appreciate your hard work! This hack is one of the best I've ever played, I gave the first demo a 10, this demo 2 will easily get a 10 as well.
Wow nice! Downloading...
Your layout has been removed.
Sweet! I'll get to this a little later. ;D
Niiice... *goes to play*
I has to pick tonight to work on my new hack.V_V.
Oh, right, I almost forgot to tell everyone to read the read me. It has the various thank-yous, more in-depth info about the hack itself. I even wrote up a mini-walkthrough for some of the harder puzzles in the hack, which you'll see in world 2. People wanted more length, I tried my best to deliver.

That's all for now. Go play :)
Omygosh,Tied Posts.
I found a couple glitches already, both in the same level. The second part of the second level after bootovens fortress, there is a part of and ice block that is broken like it;s 1x to the left of the other 3 pieces and when you get to the keyhole in that level and you don't have the key you have to go back down the pipe and the pipe leads to level 0.
Uh oh, I cant continue in level "Chateau Mozart" which has a pipe that leads to an endless bonus game. Does that mean the end of the demo already?
Nice job SNN. I played through and it was good.

Two problems though:
1. Check your exits in World 2. A couple of them led to Level 0, though they weren't game-killing.
2. The frozen blocks in Pianist's Rest don't break upon contact with fireballs.

Fix those and this is golden.:)
Hm? They shouldn't do that in any of those levels mentioned. I'll have to take a look at it tomorrow, and possible reupload it.
Okay, I got the normal exit in The Pianist's Rest, but how do I get the secret one? It's driving me nuts o_O.

One of the large blocks in the second area of Adante Causeway is misaligned.

The boss in the blue palace is ridiculously hard, but since it's an optional level I guess I can't complain. Any chance I can get the asm file for this guy? It'd help me make some bosses of my own.

Not sure if you did this on purpose, but the on/off blocks that never change appearance are something of a pain. Maybe you could use outlines? Unless you like them that way as an added challenge.

As mentioned, some of your stuff goes to level 0. If your pipes and doors are right on the edge of a screen, this seems to happen. Try enabling the same exit for the adjacent screen.

You have some lovely rock tiles in some levels (such as Legato Caverns and Adante Freezecave). What are these from? Or did you make them yourself?
Congrats, SNN. The final version will probably have members of this board camping out listening to music CDs to get ready for a hack that is almost like a musical. I will check this out when the final version comes.
I am not a hacker by trade, I am an observer and I can be very observant. I tend to lurk around here to prolong the good experience of playing the original SMW. Whatever can add onto it is something that I will definitely do when I am bored which is often. And I will rarely post and give praise when needed to the hacks that may make me interested to relive memories.

My worst enemy in Mario isn't Bowser but my controller that keeps on getting disconnected from the inside. Might be my memory count.
@ Dispari- That sprite somes in the newest spritetool, it's called ground pound boss.

Don't strain yourself too hard. I checked in LM and there's no way to get into the pipe. It wouldn't do you any good anyway, since the level it leads to isn't edited.

It feels pretty cool seeing the GFX a gave you for the melody blocks and the 30-coin blocks being used. :D

It was great!
I really like the Jeapordy theme in the bonus stage, nice! Can't wait to finish this, So Not Normal!
